You didn't strike me as the type to like, advertise said social life. Shit, you use Facebook more than I do, and I'm a homosexual with social networking needs.

Mono White Weeenieweeenieweeenie 1st.
Actually there was a tournament, where there werer 3 KAMAHL CONTROLS in top 8. I was like WTF IS THIS GUY REALLY ONTO SOMETHING? Then I checked other decklists. Well, someone tried to play a Sledgehammer but failed terribly. 3 copies of Purphoros as Sledge is obviously a deck that does only care about card's price tag - not their effectivness. Lack of 1CMC drops. As overall, construction looked pretty damn weak.
And it was still 3rd.

I wonder if Japan has states (prefectures?)? I'm currently 35th in my prefecture.

"You think you can get away with playing 1 baddie? Fuck you, let's play 2 baddies."
Also, I think 1-2 Purphoros in Red Devotion Wins might be a real Magic: The Gathering card. Not 30$ good, but just... being good, doing some work.

Zem's Pyromaster list made Top 4...

I'd probably play 1 Purphorous honestly.

I think it's too slow.

1 Purphorous in devotion red, where everything is RR or more should be ok (I think).

It seems decent in the control matchup as an extra mana sink, as well as adding to the relevance of your 'bad' topdecks.
@red: Arguably the most offensive thing you've ever said. Forever too soon

Yeah... "it should be ok"...
Now you're starting evaluating Purphoros, tomorrow you'll start thinking about its interaction with YP, then you'll splash white for Assemble the Legion and before knowing what happened you'll be splashing black in order to play Purge the Profane.

And how the two life from Purge shores up the weak Aggro MU... because everyone knows Aggro players can't count to 22 unless they have a couple of extra fingers/toes.
Posted: Thu Oct 03, 2013 2:03 pm
by redthirst
Which it's likely they do, because Aggro is the only deck easy enough to pilot that even inbred mutants can do it.

That's where this Purphoros road leads, zeman.
Tread it carefully.

I feel like there should at lest 4 one drops.

I don't see a reason not to play 8. Improves the control matchups, which are the deck's weak point.
