Although I'll say I did find the reasoning behind the toenail thing a little anticlimactic. Hell, you could call it art nouveau, or date repellant, or clone insurance, you know, have a little fun with it, but sadly coming clean about being too lazy to throw away toenails and it just kinda became a thang fell a little flat for me. :/

Luckily, the rest of what Gals said is some of the more lulzy fuckdiculous MTGS moderation I've read in a while.

It's extremely likely that Galspanic has had sex (like, we're talking full on vaginal intercourse here, seriously), so I'd take that bet.

Alright guys, rein it in. Starting to look a little fan-fiction here.
It's one thing to say you want a general concept, it's another to start making up details about them.
So basically he wants a thread full of vague generalities only. Infractions for anyone who mentions anything specific.

Oh, and I just noticed Kaburi has already outlawed custom card creation in that thread. So you're only allowed to utter inane, baseless statements like "I wish there was another red planeswalker!" or "A sliver planewalker would be cool!", but no specific details and definitely no back-stories.

EDIT: Despite the fact that the OP specifically asked people to contribute back-stories for the characters they'd like to see.

So basically it's the same as every other MTGS thread: The best course of action is to just not respond.

You see, that's where you're wrong in terms of Ashiok's theme.
Ashiok is about the familiar twisted to nightmarish proportions. It's about preying on fears you already have, the exaggeration of phobias and the terror you don't want to face. That's why all Ashiok's dreamscapes and creatures are drawn from the victim, not created whole cloth. Now, Ashiok's appearance is meant to be horror-esque, but in most ways, it's the same elements they used for the Phyrexians rather than the Eldrazi.

this is kinda sad because back in 2007 when I started participating with my doktorcaligari account, I did it in the storyline forum, there was that weasel guy who was a mod and that other MORT guy from the former phyrexia.com site and besides being very knowledgeable persons, they were also very modest and wouldn't spout bulshittery on a daily basis.

Guess the site moved on since, but I never went back to the storyline subforum, even when I was not yet banned.

I used to try to participate in the storyline forum as well but Barinellos closing threads always with the last word about why he is right made me stop, he also rarely cites himself because he thinks his knowledge is beyond the canon

I was going to start creating custom cards when I first came on board, as that was my forte before joining and something I really enjoyed, until I saw the kind of dreck people were not only getting away with posting but actually getting kudos for creating. It was awful, like I
specifically remember a conversation revolving around:

Double Bolt :r:
Instant

Double Bolt deals 3 damage to 2 target creatures.

and people were bitching that it wasn't as good as Lightning Bolt (which was banned at the time) because you might have to wait to cast it "or kill one of your creatures to kill theirs." Interestingly, I figure it was the vomit-inducing circle jerk atmosphere of Clan Flamingo that probably drove me towards the places on the site that one could at least yell at other users without fear of repercussions in the first place.
