Re: Tournament lists - publish after the tournament.
I'm gonna make a thread over in the standard section to gather some more information/create a poll. Will keep updated.

ATTENTION:
If there are no objections, I'm going to turn off the "review post" function that stops your posts from going through if someone else posted while you were typing. I for one am tired of having to hit Submit 3 or 4 times and still missing that someone posted in front of me and finding my unposted message hanging hours later. The standard build of the bb software will only allow turning the function on/off by forum rather than on a per-user basis, so I wanted to get opinions before flipping the switch.
If anyone has legit wants for keeping it as it is, post up; otherwise, I will turn the function off this evening.

I use it a
lot when things are busy here. Keeps me from having to doublepost as much.

Lets try and do one on Saturday afternoon, I've got nothing going on all weekend. Thinking I'll probably get really hammered and play WoW, I'm sure I can make fun of your play errors while I do that.
My girl works on Saturdays, so I'm free in the morning and most of the afternoon to screw around on MTGO. I want to stream my Modern mana sink deck, since Standard is the literal worst.

Why is Tymaret still a bulk rare? That dude is actually nuts.
This. Throw him into a Pyromancer shell with some threaten effects, and your opponent is going to have a bad day.

Most of my comentary will have to be about how little I know about Modern and that I don't actually play the format at all.
That should really add to the content.

I feel the same way about Standard. I played in the Classic before I left Charlotte (I'm back in Orlando now) and it felt REALLY stale. I can't bring myself to play it here, since the only
competitive store within 20 miles is Coolstuff, and that place smells HORRIBLE and I just can't force myself to sit through 5 rounds vs. mouthbreathers in a place that smells like a college dorm. Not to mention I have a bit of history there.
Modern is my thing so that sounds good.

I'm going to call the stream "Red Dicks Win", so I expect lots of condescension and vulgarity.
Everyone who wants in, get a copy of Skype installed, test your microphone and add "hamfactorial" on there so you can call in once we start.

In all honesty I am probably just overreacting due to anger at the situation, the most ill probably get is a detention.
They won't suspend the school board president's son. Not at all.

Benefits are nice.

If they do, just cry hate crime and say it's because you're homosexual. They'll fold immediately.

Did she deserve it?
Also, using the fact that your mom/dad is the school board president as leverage doesn't always go over well. My sister is a teacher and one of her students did this. It was kinda shitty. Not trying to lecture you. Just sharing my experiences.

I gotta take the zero tolerance here...not knowing any more than you posted, telling staff to shut up should be met with consequences as it's utterly disrespectful and shouldn't be allowed to slide. Order can be maintained only if administrators have the authority to hold you accountable...otherwise kids run amok. As to your dad's position, it is more likely just the opposite; showing you favoritism could get him in deep shit. Tread lightly, TH, and
treat others as you want to be treated.

This would not surprise me considering the fact that basically anything that is involved with MTGS is prone to this level of fuckery.

Yeah, like I said, I'm thinking rotating format. Probably something like Standard -> Modern -> Legacy -> Villager -> Repeat.
I will get you fuckers into Villager. It is hella fun.

Eh, just got done talking to the principal, he's a pushover. If I can pride myself on one thing, its that I can talk my way out of a lot of things. I had to apologize, which i did in the utmost sincerity. I can be dumb, but at least I know when to quit.

the problem with the build raspy is that your engines will just get answered immediately, and they're too synergistic to be obscenely powerful on their own.
we've been having success with pyro rakis which runs 2 tymaret, but only a few 4 drops and no dragons.
He's much better when you can get them low enough with 1 and 2-drops (spike jester says hi) that soak up removal. then you can play YP$ on 3 or 4 and actually expect him to stick for a few tokens.
Then tymaret really shines as just the last bit of reach (sort of like a Mogis Maruader that doesn't get blanked by black creatures), after you've gotten them low with phoenix and 1-drops n shit, then you just sac all your board that's stalled out and some elementals over a turn or two and its gg.
The curve just looks a bit too clunky for my tastes. I think curve out decks with synergies are much better than midrange ones, because your esper MU is gonna be
very hard, and the power of your synergies isn't even better than the Artifact R/B midrange with keyrunes, trading posts, Rakdos' return, Demons n Dragons is.

Dude, do it, we've had SO MUCH fun with it.
We bought a bunch of lanyards with name tags and had people write "villager league" on them and wear them around the store so that you could identify other people who are playing in the league. It has been a resounding success. That way people weren't just awkwardly durdling around asking random people if they were signed up for the league. They could see it visually. And if you didn't feel like playing villager you could just take it off.
The lanyards only cost like $5.

I pulled a foil one and and a regular one in the same pack. I'm awesome like that.
