Polish Independence day!
The most important national holiday in here.

To answer the earlier question; we played a 10 player EDH game. To start, everyone teamed up on the kid that everyone hates and eliminated him first. Then it was just normal Commander. I got dropped to 3 and lived for quite a while at 3 life. I top decked Cruel Ultimatum and got myself back up to 8, I had no lifegain though and I soon bowed out in 5th. Even in 5th, I had been in the game for 5 hours.
I think the store learned it's lesson about playing "sealed" Commander though. It was a good concept, but the precon decks just aren't made well enough for such a large scale game. I'm not even sure when they finished. When I left there was a kid sitting at 1 life and the 3 others had 30+ a piece.
All in all, it was a great day and I made a bunch of trades to upgrade my deck further.

Just finished watching Cloud Atlas again, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Highly recommended.

Really? I hated Cloud Atlas - just seemed like a bunch of random unrelated crap that they tried to connect by using the same actors for different characters and one line about "meeting each other over and over again"... even if the over-all theme was interesting (which I don't think it was), the individual stories were incredibly dull and the characters were impossible to relate to or care about.

I tried it on cockatrice... then my opponent messaged me:
Him: "What's the hardest thing about playing soul sisters?"
Me: ?
Him: "Calling your parents to tell them you're gay."
Player disconnected.
Don't call soul sisters gay. We gays do not want to be associated, in any way, with that trash.
As far as commander goes I've gotten to the point where I need to test it before I can go any further. Mind seize was totally full of value, but the deck as built has no clear direction. Decided to focus on nekusar, because he has an obvious and amusing gameplan (turn group hug card draw into a death by strangulation). Any thoughts?

I really like Jeleva. Apparently when you cast her for 10 and everyone has to exile 10 cards, that makes them angry. I then attach some Swiftfoot Boots to her and boo ya!

The interconnected storylines in
Cloud Atlas really resonated with me, especially the idea of how small actions can influence multiple lives over time. The lawyer saving the escaped slave who then saves him so that he can write his memoir to influence the composer who mentions it in a letter to his lover which then makes
its way to the reporter who meets up with the scientist to expose the report about the nuclear reactor. And that's just one whole thread started when the slave makes eye contact with the lawyer. It's complexity theory laid out in movie form, all the little threads connecting to form something much bigger than they could individually, like lines in a web crossing each other to create something new.
The same actors play characters in each arc to demonstrate how their souls function within the overall arc. The Hugo Weaving characters, for example, are static, always upholding the current status quo: as the slave trader in the 1800s, as the hitman in the 1970s, as the nurse in 2012, as the chairman in Neo-Seoul, and as Ol' Georgie after The Fall. Hugh Grant's characters function in much the same way. Most of the other characters are more fluid, able to change as they make their journeys, the most dramatic being Hanks's journey from the duplicitous doctor to the futuristic goatherder.
It's an
ambitious movie with ambitious ideas. I walked out of the theater after watching it the first time thinking that I had been transformed by the experience.

I walked out thinking I had wasted time and money...
Also, I just watched some Teen Titans Go! - Beast Boy and Raven are basically Fate and Nuwen.

She's interesting, but she's exile mill, which is even more of a double-edged sword than regular mill. With regular mill you could elixer of immortality and the like to keep yourself in the game, or just not mill yourself. The free spells is nice, but an attacking creature with only a 3 butt. She also pushes you in the direction of massive expensive spells, which is fun, but can leave you in a awkward position if she gets tucked. I would keep thraximundar in the deck with her, just as a back up plan.

Yes...I personally don't love the reboot as it's much more "anime" in tone and structure. I'm not saying that that is at all negative--simply that I preferred the original because it was a particularly well-done animated story-arc series.

No seriously go write a corruption report. That's a tier 4 order. I'm more than happy to loan you to the DTR guys, so go. Hunt corruption.

2-1 in my first THS Sealed event, and the match I lost was a mull to five in both games. Not bad.
