Scrumper here! I came in fourth place at FNM on Friday with mono-red. Taking suggestions from FOS helped me hit my personal highest spot at FNM. I know mono-red can never win FNM but maybe one day I can even get third place.

In other news my girlfriend of two years told me enough is enough. Either I start doing more chores or she's going to keep complaining. How do I solve this problem even if it's not the man's job to do chores? Please advise!
Why do I always read this posts with a bad British accent?

3 days ago I apparently wrote a check out of the closed account I had with my ex, purely by accident (I hadn't disposed of the checkbook because I wanted to shred). Now I have to pay $140 worth of various fees, and they won't take another check. Fucking fuck.

That...really fucking sucks.

In other news, I don't play modo, but after reading this, I'm kind of glad that I don't:

Kibler has been bitching about that for days now but I don't blame him. Personally I could never find time time to sit in front of the computer for 8 hours straight being a dad and all, so MOCS is of no concern to me, but the whole situation is terrible.

This is greatly discouraging me from dumping my paper cards to play on MTGO. I mean the fucking Pokemon TCGO is better than that.

I have a lot of issues with what Kibler has to say honestly, the entire article starts from the premise that MODO is a problem where, infact, despite it's flaws, it's a net good, especially for the international community. Have of his criticisms or more only relate to how the crash affects him personally and not the community...Kibler has an ego? What a surprise. Proposes solutions with no knowledge of the financial situations? Of course. WotC doesn't have Riot money for MODO.

I come from a background of 10+ years if comoetitive RTS, this isn't that bad at all.

I haven't had an issue with MTGO stability, but I can understand why he'd be upset after wasting all that time and being unable to play in the compensation tournament.

I can't fully agree with his viewpoint though, because he's developing a competing product and stands to gain from marginalizing his competition.

I like that he's on the soapbox and screaming about it, because pressure on WotC to fix the crappy client can only help me in the long run.

What Kibler doesn't mention, because he's a known pro from the US and self-absorbed is that the MOCs are THE payoff for grinders every month; they might make $500/month pre-MOCs and then upwards of another $100+ in the MOCs; the opportunity to play in them is huge.

But yeah. We should have nothing. Because fuck the non-pro community. How fortunate Kibker should have a weekend off because he is busy.

I agree with ya'll that most of his article is stupid soapboxing, but he makes a point that a program like MTGO not being able to save event states is just ridiculous. Especially when you consider just how easy that is from a programming standpoint - they're dealing with relatively little information per-event; if they just kept track of premier events, and not your standard DE or 2-man, the cost is marginal.

It doesn't help that Kibler has been a week long coke binge either.

WotC though makes MTGO as bad as possible. It's not about having incredibly huge budget or not. I could find you programmers who would work for probably half of their payrates and would make things much, much better.
I'd say - they don't really care that much about it.

Hearthstone will make WotC fix it or drop so far behind online that it will never catch up. SolForge isn't real competition, but Blizzard's product is, and they know how to code a robust online service.

The point is the community shouldn't accept garbage.

I a pirate doesn't settle for mediocrity. A pirate set's sail searching for One Piece son.

His rant is COMPLETELY justified, even if you don't agree with all the points. 9 hrs of your day in the shitter would put me on all sorts of life tilt. THe most valuable commodity in
the world is time because it is the one thing that there is only a finite amount of. You can't get it back. Otherwise nobody would care about khamal posting.

I can't stand for my time to be wasted personally.

The comments on MODO after R7 were hilarious, I do feel for him because many people who were effected felt the same way (its important to note it wasn't just MOCS we had another
event running which was already in R10 get messed up as well).

That said telling people to quit a game which pays for itself and provides profits is just silly.
