It was awesome. People from China are as rude and loud-mouthed as I expected them to be, and service was as terrible as expected. But places we went to (forbidden palace, tiananmen, beijing national stadium etc.) were great and my companions were all-round nice people.

And China drivers are insane. Like, they will literally blare their horn at old ladies crossing the street even though the green man is on, and the old lady in question would glare right back at the driver and they'd have a mini staring-contest.

I wonder of mtgs feels that losing 40 experience red mages was worth protecting two forum trolls now; the Rx section is a ghost town.

I did, app. your required to make many relevant post - but I'm not sure if it mean post which supports the clan's humor or post which support in playing magic.

I'm in no rush though, so I'm taking the wait the see approach :p.

Nothing much. I more or less quit standard (sold all my temples and other non-modern stuff like blood baron jaces), and picked up EDH, which I found is fun with a friendly group (even though I was just bashing the format vehemently sometime this year...).

Holy hell the non-clan forums are looking really good now. Makes me want to assemble a red deck for standard again. Seriously good job with the articles and theory guys.

It's the morning after, and I realized I lost the PTQ exactly the same way I lost states. Strong start, then lucksacked by one opponent and matched up poorly against another. Bad feels but I'll catch a break eventually. It feels a lot better to just lose than to lose due to misplay, and I feel overall I became a better player during the event.

The last opponent I beat commented "You're responsible for knocking out my car." Apparently I dreamcrushed him and his two buddies and a friend commented that they were all really experienced and strong players so I guess that's a moral victory.

Anyways, sorry for the selfish stream of consciousness.

Big thanks to Alex, Nate (TubeHunter) and Dan (Raida) for providing the color commentary on yesterday's stream. This one actually saved, so we get to relive T1 Pithing Needle time and time again.

Stabber, the Gambler
+1: Choose target creature. Flip a coin, if heads deal 2 damage to that creature, if tails return it to it's owner's hand.

-1: Reveal the top card of your library, if it's an instant or sorcery put it in your hand, if it's not you may put it in your graveyard.
-5: Flip a coin, if heads take an extra turn after this one, if tails return each creature you don't control to it's owner's hand
The key is not ensuring the most desirable outcome, but ensuring that all outcomes benefit you

I thought that everyone was making extremely broken cards, and then I saw DS's walker, which put everything in perspective for me. Seriously, 4 starting loyalty, ult for 5? Not at 2RU. The fact that you can choose whether or not to keep the card on top with the - 1 is also very powerful.

Oh, and DS, your creature just makes life gain exceptionally good, since it does not prevent life gain, but only neutralizes it and makes you take that much damage, as well as potentially clearing the board.

RCWRaspy - R

If you control a forest, RCWRaspy gets +2/+1
Whenever RCWRaspy attacks, add R/G (one hybrid - not sure how to type it) to your mana pool.

I don't think you need to worry - basically, the only thing you haven't done is be a member long enough. You're a shoe-in for full membership and,
likely, senior membership considering your contributions to the game.

We're all pretty happy to have you.

I loved the idea of Braid of Fire, but it lured me down a hole where I was playing weird cards like Ghitu Firebreathing to take advantage of instant speed sinks. It plays well with Stonewright, at the very least.

I just found myself brewing a deck that played Red Sun's Zenith and Ashling as the win conditions, with basically every other card being a board wipe or spot removal of some kind.

I'm back after going of the grid working at a couple of remote airports, thus FNM was out of the question for a while. :no2:
While I was there. Did you know black buck impala (antlers swirl and grow straight back) won't jump a 5 foot fence but will dig under a 8 foot chain length fence like a dog? Planes and deer don't mix well. Puree is an understatement and could not rescue the backstrap either as I could not recognize it. $110,000 repair to large plane and other damage to another small plane.
On a positive note, I got to test drive/race down the runway in a old Shelby Mustang and Charger :D . I am only one who liked the Charger more (the only
one I could actually afford to possibly build).

So, we are making cards for ourselves?

Wooded Foothills Wraith :symrg: :symrg: :symrg: :symrg: :symrg:

And I though khaoss card was broken
I think I have a more toned-down version:

Khaospawn, Master of Mead [mana]R2[/mana]

Mythic Rare

Summon Legendary Viking Warrior Berserker

Haste, First Strike, Trample, Fading - 3

Khaospawn gets +1/+1 equal to your devotion to Red.

When Khaospawn dies, flip a coin. If you lose the flip, lose life equal to Khaospawn's power. If you win the flip, Khaospawn deals 1 damage to all creatures controlled by an opponent.

3/1

"Where did all the mead go?"

Edit:

Basically, just an attacking dude. It won't win the game on its own.

Also, I like how &
quot;Fading" is a Planar Chaos mechanic.
