YOU MEAN THE GREATEST FUCKING MOVIE EVER.
Everyone list their favourite Generation 1 transformer.
Mine is Starscream. The rest of you can fuck off and pick one of the other shitty ones.
Late to the party with this one, but mine is actually multiple: Soundwave with Ravage, Rumble and Ratbat. I still have my original Series 1 Ravage, as well as a more recently obtained Ravage USB drive.

Yup. That very one. I must needs acquire a copy.
Megatron. He went from being an awesome gun to being an even more awesome dragon. I am not ashamed to admit that I own both of those figures. The dragon overlooks my living room.

MOTHER FUCKER! I was seperating clothes on the couch and a damn scorpian got me! WTF! It's winter, they should be underground.
That was my one issue in the time I spent in San Antonio...it just utterly messed with me to see scorpions run across the floor at night (some of them do a fair imitation of a glow-in-the-dark plastic toy and it is utterly spooky to see them moving about). We used to have an issue with recluses in our old house here, and while I hated the spiders with a passion, they got nuthin' on scorps in terms of goosebump factor.
From a practical perspective, scorpions were a downright PITA for us because we were working with modular hospital equipment in what amounted to a big stadium sand pit. Those damned things would move in
under the equipment at sunup, which meant that we had to spend part of every morning carefully moving stuff around and squashing the little weaponized mechs so no one inadvertently took a shot to the hand when reaching under equipment.
Mind you, my overall outlook on creepy-crawlies is one of fascination and I've kept all sorts of creatures at one time or another, but I have a serious issue with dangerous critters that like to infest houses (e.g., scorpions and dangerously venomous spiders). Of course, I guess I should count my blessings...dealing with a few recluses and low-powered scorpions is one hell of a lot more reasonable than having to worry about Australian Redbacks in the mower shed or black mambas taking up residence under your patio or climbing into your car through the engine compartment. From a worldly perspective, we here in the US have it pretty cush with regards to venomous pests.

Acqure which: A figure or the movie? If the latter, say no more as I can burn you a copy from ours if your DVD player is tolerant of burned discs.
nRE: Megatron - My only problem with him in the original series (other than knowing that every episode would end with his ego resulting in his downfall) was that the most powerful of the Decepticons required someone else to fire him in his original handgun weapon form. That seemed inherently weak--his reliance on another--though it was rectified in his transformation to Galvatron.
BTW one of my favorite actual toys from the originals was the Sharkticon. I bought one for one of my nephews when it came out and spent years kicking myself for not grabbing one of my own as I thought it was a damn cool model.
Also, my nephew the MtG TO/Judge has a small figure of Shockwave as part of his accoutrement for playing Magic. Shockwave stands atop the box in which my nephew keeps tokens and dice, surveying the battlefield through every match Lloyd plays.

The movie. I do not own it yet. That would be most appreciated, good sir.
I'm using an old Playstation 2 as my dvd player. Haven't had any problems with it playing burned discs before. Oh, and
X-Men: First Class is working again after the player gave us that weird "wrong region" error.

I've been playing X-men legends 2, and wow is Professor X insane, I hadn't unlocked him back in the day. He's even scarier than jubilee was in X-men legends 1.

I've done my best to steer clear of posting in standard lately, mostly because i've already got infractions, and I still want to post in casual section where my bile is much easier to keep in check. And the mods there are still less strict than Giant in the Playground. If you want to curse bad players out I recommend 4chan's /tg/ board, where the rules consist of "don't post porn" and even that one is pretty lax enforcement-wise.

Yeah, all the pests we have to deal with are bad and all, but Z has it worse. If I believed in god, I would imagine that australia would be where he disposed of all of the beasts that infested his nightmares.

Sadly as a c# developer I am forced to deal with microsoft far more than I would like, still better than apple. Apple charges twice as much for the same parts as everyone else, which is pretty stupid these days given that there is nothing that apple products do better anymore. There used to be an argument for video and audio editing (which was untrue if you were willing to do some digging, but out of the box it was true), but now that's not even remotely true.
Hi, I'm a C++ developer that's been forced to move to C#...
No matter your difficulties with computers, rest assured
that you're still more productive than working with Revit MEP.
Every day I come into work and battle this abortion.
... because I'm developing AutoCAD plugins and some APIs (namely: FDO support derived from MapGuide) are only .NET.
Welcome to my hell.

@ DS - Australia and Africa, though I do agree that Australia got way more than its share of high-powered, weaponized animals. The issue just seems more severe in Africa because such huge populations there live in unprotected squalor. Sawscale vipers are responsible for outrageous numbers of deaths simply because they are ubiquitous and continuously clashing with masses of barefooted humans. And mambas are just totally damned scary because they have zero fear and like human dwellings and machinery.
@Kaze - What are you stressing over? You have next to no worries up there in the lake area...a few Northern Copperheads and the occasional Black Widow at most. Remember, venom follows heat--as you approach the Equator, venoms get more toxic (general trend, there are exceptions). Oh, and peppers get hotter in terms of indigenous species.

Because I don't do anything for the site as a whole and a lot of people on that list do. It would also be sad winning, given I have been close to banned twice.

Whipped Zem.
Never cared for the term...it implies being driven somewhere that one didn't choose to go, as though one loses something in considering another's wishes in their life.
Posted: Wed Dec 11, 2013 2:26 pm
by redthirst
If you're considering someone else's wishes and putting their desires above your own then you've certainly lost something: the right to be selfish.
No one cares if a single guy living by himself stays out to 5:00 at the club, bangs randoms, or takes off for the weekend with his buddies, but when you've got a significant other and/or children you don't get to do that anymore.
I'm not saying it isn't worth it or that what you gain doesn't outweigh what you lose, but you absolutely do lose something.
TL;DR - Bitch, you whipped.
wa-PISH!

Tier 1 -> 2:
MagicDownUnder
DarthStabber
DocLawless
RaidaTheBlade

I'll get you access to the restricted area asap - make sure it works and lmk if you don't find an ass-load of new threads to poke around in.
Also, we're in the process of restructuring the Tier system so that more people who've been with the clan a while will be eligible for the Private areas even if they don't do shit to further M:tG game theory or whatever and there'll also be a new area for the hard-core gamers to brew, write articles, and set up testing.
