They mean real-world prices, not Desu-land prices. ^^

Why run? You'll only die tired*
*Or on turn 36 after I resort to milling you to death with Oona's Grace when my only 4 creatures are in the GY.
Yeah, the deck should have a singleton Jace's Erasure in the board specifically for these types of games. I played a 2man that ended exactly the same way yesterday, would have been way less close with Erasure. (Only had 1:12 on the clock when the game ended, yuck.)

1:12?
Gooby pls.
But yeah, a singleton slot to have a chance of winning quickly would be terrific honestly. I am not sure what the best option is; mill is one good one.

One sideboard slot for my own sanity is almost certainly worth it.

Just found out today that Vets only have to pay a quarter to ride the bus.
I've been paying 1.50$ the past year or so. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

To Akex we could run Muddle the Mixture to have tutor options; say -2 Essence Scatter or Deprive, +2 Muddle? Being able to go fetch Think Twice is nice; Curse of Chains / Jace's Erasure post board. Maybe something else.

A free hundred bucks isn't bad. I'm only up four packs, but I haven't really been playing that much now that I've been putting in a TON of overtime.
I'm really gearing up to open my shop. Trying to save at least $40,000 so that I can have actual product on my shelves when I open. I see too many LGS' fail because they open up in a half-assed location with barely any product. If your store looks like a barely-cleaned retail space with almost nothing in it, nobody is going to play or shop there. If I do it, I want it to make enough money to open more locations within the first three years.
@James, Muddle the Mixture also fetches Echoing Truth if that's a thing you're interested in running.

Thoughts on Deprive? It's so bad early...so good late, maybe that's the easiest cut?

I like Deprive more than Essence Scatter going late. Spire Golem already basically says "Affinity for Islands, counter target creature" since basically nothing rumbles with it.

Essence Scatter is important I think, I'm running it over prohibit; I don't like setting myself back a land early, it's really bad. Against any aggro deck deprive comes out first.
Hmmm ill see what I can come up with.

What are you guys doing with those Sea Gate Oracles? I always hold onto them if I have an Exclude in hand. When he comes down, it's usually because I have nothing else to do or extra mana.
The 4th Repeal might be worthy of discussion, as drawing them in multiples early isn't great.

I'm not playing Exclude, my list is a little different than James'. I'll post it in the thread in a sec.

Oracle is a turn 3 play in some board states; otherwise turn 5-6 with counter up. It's very strong vs MBC and Stompy; average otherwise. Stock lists don't run it.

I like it against the Slivers deck. I've been playing against that deck more often than I thought I would, so much so that I might consider a single
Vedalken Aethermage if I choose to include the
Muddle the Mixture package. It opens up a lot of sweet singletons.

That would be a pretty hilarious singleton.

I can't wait until we get the set that from which aethermage is timeshifted, wizards fighting slivers and such seems cool, and tribal blocks are fun (I don't care if WotC says the overcomplicated boardstates were a problem, I liked that about it. Timespiral/Lorwyn was about the best time for complexity junkies).

Kamigawa was the best block ever.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Tempest block, but mainly because that's when I first picked up the game at the ripe age of 12, and it was the original print for one of my favorite Magic cards.

Kamigawa was the best block ever.
I know you were probably being sarcastic, but I liked Kamigawa a lot and it makes me kind of sad that they did such a shitty job with the set mechanics, because the flavor was sweet.

Hey, I'm working on a barbarian tribal deck, and I kinda need a direction to take it.
Should I pull tricks with discard, threshold, and madness mechanics, and maybe splash black to make it even better at that, or...
Should I just go legit old-school punchy? And then in the punchy catagory, should I use more burn (pyrored has spoiled me dammit) or more 'pump'?
Basically, should I use more then just bolt and burn out either the players or they're creatures, or run stuff like
Granite Grip and
Claws of Valakut?
At the moment I'm fairly settled on:
[deck]Barbarian Tribal[/deck]
Barbarian bully,
Hell-bent Raider, and
Adaptive Automaton are all also under consideration creature-wise. Not sure if robo-barbarians is super flavorful
I might run raider anyway cause he's pretty dang good, and bully is also pretty swanky. I'd include
Fiery Temper most likely if I had them both though. An old mtg article also made me think of
thunderblade charge as an amusing burn/removal spell. Though I figure y'all know many more awesome ones that I should run instead (please share)

Why is Stormblood Berserker not a Barbarian? Seriously?

My first-ever deck was mono white samurai. It was awesome(ly bad) and played stuff like No-Dachi and Umezawa's Jitte just for flavor. (Which at the time I knew was good, but not
how good.)

Creature - Human Viking Berserker
KhaosSpawn's new favorite card.

Also my friends and I back in high school used to use Sensei's Divining Tops as spinners to decide who went first in a free-for-all. We also regularly threw them at each other because we all thought the card was bad.

An actual conversation a friend and I had in high school.
Him: Yeah but dude Jitte doesn't even give any boosts on its own.
Me: Dude it might as well be "+4/+4" most of the time. The difference is you can choose for it to be other stuff. Versatility is sweet.
Him: I guess lifegain is a little awesome, yeah.
Me: I think it might be the best part of the card.
I'm not proud of myself.

I thought that
Trained Orgg was the best card I owned when I first played in 7th edition. (I was 8...)
Still have a soft spot for it

Heh. My first ever pack of rtr I cracked a death rite shaman. Get about 5-6 offers for it. Eventually trade it for the worst pile of cards ever. Ugh. I mean, the card really isn't good right?
I received: 3 odric master tactitian, an elite inquisitor and a Foil fiend hunter.
Yep. That trade happened. (Fuck you I wanted to build white weenie)

Elite Inquisitor is sweet, especially the promo.

I cracked a DRS in my prerelease pool, wrecked face, then immediately traded for as many as I could while they were $5. I've also acquired stupid stuff in mass quantities, like a playset of Jace, Memory Adept as a graveyard filler in my Angel of Glory's Rise human reanimator deck.

One of the guys at the shop has a sweet alt art of that promo where he is holding balloons and some flowers. It looks funny as hell
