@ MDU - I'd sell them if you need the tix, otherwise keep them as the price will continue to gradually rise over time

Pfft staff, I was on the draw while my opp. plays Staff on T3 and T4 thinking he has a free win :evillol:

I proceed to kill him with Chandra's Ultimate in the next few turns... take that sliver bullet tech.

Today's MODO PotY Construction Ranking for DtR Members:

1st: MDU
2nd: Jedi_Knight
3rd: Zem
4th: Pedro

End of week Prediction:

1st: Zem
2nd: MDU
3rd: Jedi_Knight
4th: Pedro

Final Predictions:

1st: Zem
2nd: Pedro
3rd: MDU
4th: Jedi_Knight

(Based on Pedros and Z ability to multi-queue.)

I do believe Kait is more then capable of hitting the ladder but ESO has him :tears:, IO2 currently is the only crazy one trying for the limited ladder which if he does make it is an INSANE feat.

I wonder if we can get more DtR names on the ladders :)

I'm working on it. I've got 6 QPS and have only played 5 (2qp 2qp 1qp 1qp) events this season. Between perfoming my friends wedding and in laws in town I haven't had a chance to play hardly at all. This week I should be able to catch up a lot. Last month was my first qualifying month, but I'm really loving this brobots deck and I'm winning more than I did even with r/w burn (which I was doing decent at, nowhere near Z level). I'm gonna try to make a push to catch up, and I think I have a decent shot if I keep winning modern like I am. I just need to get better at multi-queueing and I'll get there I think. I just need to learn brobots a bit better.

No.
For a bit more detail: The brimaz token is "attacking" but didn't "attack". Attack triggers don't count once you have sent your creatures into the red zone.

As for
multi queueing I was playing 3 games at the same time while talking with my friend on skype and doing payment for ptq. Won 3 out of 3 ^^

However lost every possible 2nd round vs black devo with burn (yeah funny that I lost 4 or 5 of them) however managed to 4-0 a daily to get myself 11 QPs. If I sb correctly like Zem and had more experience, I could get max of 15 qps tonight.

I think MDU's prediction is just about right, although it would be cool to see more names on the list. I currently have to regain my tickets so I'll be playing cautiously, no 8men whatsoever.

Also pretty much finished with the RB, don't see anything to change to make bad matchups good or terrible matchups even other that reworking it entirely which is not really something I want to do. So I'll just keep my trusty Duresses and dabble in burning people in the meantime before Journey hits and gives us new toys.

Well went 3-1 in my first modern daily. The one loss I had was a horrible MTGO single click that registered as a double click -- I was tapping ravager with springleaf to activate the 1 equip for cranial plating and it instead ate it to ravager, lol. Oh well. I feel good against most MUs other than snap/bolt and u/w/r. I'm gonna try the blue version some to see if I can be more consistent. Played storm, rock, u/w/r, and mirror match. Was a lot of fun. =D

I watch that game you lost, I think you made two major misplays against URx.

1) you should have attacked with your creature before casting the Etched Champion - had he tapped out and you resolved the Champion it would of been GG (esp. since you had Skull in play).

2) That miss-click man... it was brutal.

Ya I'm not even sure how it happened honestly -- It registered as a double? IDK. Either way, it would've been close if that didn't happen. The precombat bait out the CS instead of doing something mid combat so I'd still have mana to move cranial plating and get him down to 4 so I'm drawing live to a galvanic or shrapnel blast. I figured at the point it was the best chance to win since he was getting more available mana. I think you're right though, post combat would've baited a trick, and then I would've had champion + plating. Oh well. See that match win despite mulling to 3? Lmao. That felt good clawing back outa that hole. I was so pissed about that haha. No land till 3? Wtfx shuffler.

Skipped a chance at the DE to play the Jace vs Vraska duel decks with my wife who is still learning. Surprisingly more complicated than the heroes vs monster decks.

@Elricity I got it too for kicks (plus Jace is 20$ anyway), so I figured why not. Fun little deck. I did really enjoy the heroes v monsters one, but this is definitely more intricate.

I tried the Koth vs Venser duel deck but my girl wanted to play them without the PWs. I think the foil intimidated her. She liked the Knights vs. Dragons deck more.

Puppy, actually. You beat me to it while I was trying to imply that said puppy would just want to eat the cards.

How do the JvV decks play? I saw one at Target yesterday, considered picking it up for playing on rainy days. My sister's boyfriend played Magic when he was younger and likes to duel when he comes over.

If that is 7pm central time, yes I will be playing it. I tilted more than I have in 9 years last night and cost myself probably 2 qps, maybe 4 and then had an argument with my GF cause I was in such a terrible mood. I'm going to try and have a clean slate for today. It's only a game after all

Well done Pedros

I also agree with you about Z, not only did he rank up (in just 1.5 months) he is doing it skillfully rather then just throwing tickets away (1970 rating is insane, my personal best is just 1913 - which i'm no where near right now).

Good plan, playing on while tilted usually results in more tilting....

Vraska is all about learning to use your life total and cards as resources.

Jace is weenie illusions, card draw, and control. Its effects actually help teach the Vraska player the former.

I also think Vraska is the better deck but overall, I view it as decks to play once someone has played at least a few games. I would not use them for a new player as instant speed effects, sequencing, and the stack are much more on display here.

HvM is better for new players because although it does have a few instants on both sides, it's mostly about
doing things at sorcery speed and teaches overall how creatures play out in the game as aggro/voltron and midrange/mana accel.
