I don't listen to metal because I shower on a daily basis and most of my tshirts don't have bands on them and aren't black.

I watched "worst movie ever" last night and I realized what a judgmental ass people are about scenes outside of their own, when each scene basically has the same people in it converging over a different cultural facet.

The guy who was the dad in troll 2 was making fun of people at horror cons because they dress up as characters and he didn't like the gore in some of the art for the posters. But then he was super psyched about the people who dressed up as stuff from his shitty movie and there's a scene where a bunch of goblins are eating a naked woman who has turned into a plant and there's gore and green blood everywhere.

What I'm saying is that as long as you don't wear fur suits or like MLP you're probably no worse or better than anyone who likes any other thing

You're actively taking away from other people's things with these hobbies. Being a fan of a thing or liking a thing so much that people think you're weird with how much you like it just makes you socially uncomfortable but not square pegging you out of conventional society

I would qualify this specifically with men.
I would make a case for women who grew up with the original MLP and are caught up in nostalgia who like MLP now. I think that's even a case for a lot of the women working on the show now (aside from $$$).
