Seems like, if you can't afford the Voices, those slots would be better served with something other than jank?

Zem, that muc pauper deck is very good. I beat 4 tier 2 standard decks with it yesterday, and that was with cancel in place of deprive.

I really like it. Glad you found success with it. There's room for improvement.

If you can't afford voices run one scavenging ooze, one more melira and one abrupt decay. Or 3 nonsense creatures that make everyone laugh when you tutor for them.

yeah there's no shame in not being able to afford voices, zem

Zem knows how to do two things:
1. Play Magic
2. Make fat stacks
He's not too worried about dropping $100 (or like 50,000 aussie dollars) on some cards.
Also, he can fall ass-backwards into a good thing and not mess it up no matter how hard he tries... so I guess he can do 3 things.

Zem doesn't worry. Those "Chinese" counterfeits... They're Australian counterfeits.

What tipped me off was that no matter what cards I ordered, all they ever sent me were fake
Didgeridoos.

Still happy I flipped the 2 voices i opened in DGM pre-release events (2 different events, but still value) into Wastelands. But I will have to re-buy Voices at some point - likely when RTR block rotates.

That was a trade up, for sure.

Hey zeman--cautionary tale image here for what happens when wolf girls get crossed...
Not that you'd ever do anything deserving of such treatment, but something to keep in the back of your mind...

There's a Modern GPT next weekend at my LGS. It's probably going to be filled with Standard decks. I was going to go and play Pod, but my wife has a prior engagement.
Doesn't that mean you're free?
Nope, it means I'll be at home with the lil' man.

Shit rc, that was a good trade.

What? Your house doesn't have closets?

Shit rc, that was a good trade.
Well, don't want to be misleading. Here was the trade:
I gave: 2x Voice of Resurgence, 1x Jace, AoT, 4x Junk Rares
I got: 2x lightly played Wasteland
Only mentioned the Voices earlier because they were the topic of discussion.

That's still a trade in your favour by like 80USD or something.

And Wasteland won't depreciate as drastically as Voice and AoT will.

It was about a month and a half ago. I think both Voice and AoT have gone down and Wastelands have gone up since then. (mwahaha)

I think AoT has actually went up. If not, I think it's holding strong until the duel deck nears.

I laughed like a damn fool when they announced those decks. AoT has gone down about $10 since then. Such Esper butthurt. You'd think they'd be happy their cards got cheaper.

Lozl. I bought a playset of AoT for $40 then flipped it for $100 to buy hooch after he spiked after an SCG Open.

Well, don't want to be misleading. Here was the trade:
I gave: 2x maybe hold value cause of Modern, but not much 1x watch me tank like a stone after rotation, 4x Junk Rares
I got: 2x lightly played cards that are never losing value

Disregard Magic cards, acquire hooch.

Ham ordered a set of [card]Jace's Archivist[/card] from CFB and was sent JtMS by mistake.
Also, without a reprint, a better alternative, or a severe drop in the Magic's popularity, Wasteland isn't going down in price to any real degree.

I tried that. I ordered Jace, AoT from CFB and I prayed to sweet baby jesus that it would be Jace, TMS, but it didn't work.
