But not the episode where the school kids beat the dog to death that upsets me too much.

It's worth watching through once. I like it less and less as I get older. Basically the scenes with Bando are great and the rest is either way over the top unecessary violence, clumsy comments and exploration of the fragility in the human condition and awareness of self. Bando is the only character the experiences real growth.
Also, the nudity is meh and while I like the red hair look, so long as you know who Perona is you know that there is no substitute.

Or when Asuka dies in NGE, I watch that a lot.

I suppose I'm just too sensitive to the over-the-top amounts of violence, although I understand what it represents.
Funnily enough, the human violence was pretty bad but didn't really get to me; the animal violence is what got to me.

i don't like it because its ham to million, when they try to play it completely straight. (there are several moments where you either laugh or you get "Are you fucking kidding me?", especially one at the end that broke it for me.)
All the characters are terrible. (Lelouch is a fucking moron)
the technology moves too quick
You might want to check it out anyways, it is a polarizing watch (i hated it). It gets worse the further you go though, so be prepared.
Come at me kaze

Yeah sure, but she's no Perona.
Maybe the best opening song ever though.

Ah, dammit, Z! I'm not supposed to have time to go full fanboy right now! :S
Lilium is one of the best musical works I've ever heard. Whenever anybody lets me play with their phone, the first thing I do is change their ringtone to it.

The manga is better than the anime, I must say.
Though the same can be said for, well, every manga/anime ever.

Steins;Gate is fucking amazing. It's pretty much my favorite anime atm.
I will warn you that it doesn't have a huge amount of action. You seem to be into action-heavy animes, and this has its actiony moments but is more intellecual and thinky.
But like I said, it is amazing.
Also, the ppl talking about Kill la Kill, the reason it's so over-the-top is that it's written/produced by the same guys who did Gurren Lagann, so...

Sorry for conversational left-turn from anime, but I'm stoked because I just found out that Peter Mohrbacher is coming to Spectrum Fantastic Art Live 3 in May! While I'm looking forward to talking to him about his current Standard cards (Erebos, Brimaz and Mogis to name a few), I'm most excited about getting foil Grimgin and Knights of Infamy/Glory signed. KoI was such centerpiece in Dos Rakis...I imagine I'll come home with a print from him as well.
Aaron Miller is also registered this year, so we'll be getting
Chained to the Rocks and
Fabeled Hero signed as well.
EDIT: Add Cynthia Sheppard--YP$ foil...
Eric Deschamps - Ashley, Act of Treason, Assemble and so much more...
Noah Bradley - Mortars and Anger!

BTW Modern tournament today with Kiki Pod.
Won 2-0 against Infect, lost 2-1 from UWR after a misplay in game 3, lost 2-1 from MARTYR after 4 dead draws (Kiki-Jiki on the field, needed Exarch, Restoration or Chord, seen NONE of them), won against Scapeshift, lost against monoU howling turns control, regequitted the whole thing.
Trying to decide if I should take Zoo or Kikipod to next weeks FNM.
Zoo is a lot more straightforward than Pod - if you've got the time to test it out, I assure you that Pod is a lot of fun but it's a deck that presents you lots of choices
and, if you're a noob like me, those decks are pretty risky.
It's not like Zoo is "simpler", but it gives you less possible plays and that makes finding the proper ones a bit simpler.
My sister has an Ovation acoustic that plays nicely, even though she doesn't
Take it from her.
Would have already, but I'm a lefty and she is not

String it upside-down?
I mean, it worked for this guy:

I guess it may depend a lot on the placement of the knobs.

I don't get why so many people (including my girlfriend, of course) get so upset about the dog scene in Elfen Lied.
If you get to that episode, uberviolence should not be a problem at all
