Versus control you can just ignore a lot of their stuff and they have a lot of dead cards. You just have to crack their lifegain. I personally found UWx to be easiervthan Gr. I believe his choices are a nod to how bad the Gr match is.

Think of it this way, you have 7-11 cards that are bad, but not dead vs them main deck. They have about 16 spells that are bad / dead vs you.

I must be doing it wrong... I've always found UWx to be a VERY hard MU for Burn, unless they have a horrible hand.

The only bad matchup is GR. What questions do people have? I'll try to clear up any misunderstandings.

When I was testing, I almost always won G1, and then ground out G2 +3. It didn't feel horrible.

Zem, your decklist seems to be extremally anti-aggro in terms of main. Searing Blood and Firedancers - aren't these an overkill? I mean, when you face control, you're kind of screwed.
Between Silvestri and myself we're 5-0 vs UW. Meh.

I've always had issue balancing the 75 to contend against UWx Control and aggro/midrange, thus I'm rather shocked that you guys are finding UWx Control to be a cake walk (when I think of UW Control I always think about the other grinder lists like chihoi and JPablo which are quite nasty).

That said if you manage to deal with the control problem whilst keeping all that aggro/midrange hate, I can see Rw becoming a very strong contender for the meta game - best of luck

Zem, you don't need to be that defensive. My opinion doesn't matter much as I'm far away from MTG right now. Still, that was something that struck me at - if decklist is tested and you are confident about these matchups - hey, you're the boss.
May I also ask why 6/1 Lifelink Trampling Haste over Warleader's Helix?

Spark Trooper is for GR Monsters and Mono U; in those matchups it is simply a much better version of Warleader's Helix. You don't bring it in anywhere else.

That's why I responded like as such; you've not tested the matchup, so why state so definitively that the control matchup is bad? Describing the matchup as "screwed" is very strong language if you're not testing.
Statement comes from playing 7 maindeck cards that are blank against Control. I don't know the exact shape of current control. Sorry if wording was harsh, you don't need to be like that - just tell me I'm wrong. I know that B-based decks are playing removal which is also blank, but thought Burn like that can quickly run out of fuel. At least these were my reasonings behind my statement. Again, no intend to attack you or something - just saying with hope, that something I'll say could be usefull.
Spark Trooper is for GR Monsters and Mono U; in those matchups it is simply a much better version of Warleader's Helix. You don't bring it in anywhere else.
n
I get that 6-power "you have to block me with your fucking hydra" is what you need in GR. I guess that's a nice tech.

There aren't seven dead maindeck cards. Searing Blood is fine vs. control; trust me. They have Mutavaults and Elspeth makes tokens after all. Funnily enough I thought the way I expressed it was actually less harsh than many of the alternatives, and I didn't think just
saying "you're wrong" would have gone down well; lesson learned for me I suppose.

I had exactly that happen twice this morning in testing. Even if they throw a lot of guys in the way (this happens a lot) you're buying 1-3 draw steps to find stuff to kill them. Spark Trooper was the key piece that we found in testing to make the matchup at least playable (its probably ~45%).

I was "here" from the very start. I was the clan mono-black emissary of sorts because I was posting more in your thread than my own clan's. I watched you guys get modded off the MTGS forums, and I followed you over but didn't have the attention span for two forums. Either way, that whole incident left a bad taste in my mouth and I never went back to the clan section of MTGS. I even left MTGS before they moved to Curse; I was fed up with the moderation and the move to Curse was just the tipping point.

Look, overall I like you. I respect your ability to play magic well and your standard card analysis. This all started with a joke when I said you don't really know how to play magic. It's rather obvious that you do, so I was hoping the facetious tone would be understood. It wasn't. My bad.

That said, I do notice a lot of 3 and 5 rolls for your personality.

You can be informative without being condescending and you can post good results and still be humble. You just don't like to.

Also, you think NGE was good. That's pretty much unforgivable.

Yeah, a friend mentioned firefly to me and so I watched it one night on netflix.
Needless to say I didn't much sleep that night.

Also, been thinking about trying to get an rpg group going around where I live to play the Firefly tabletop. I've heard it's pretty damn good if you've got a dm who can storytell properly.

But, but, I like the original series, the director's cut edition of the original series (The Asuka mind fuck scene is like 5 minutes longer), the recap movie, the other ending movie, the reboot movie that's basically the first five episodes, the reboot movie where Shinji grows a back bone, and the reboot movie that's 80% "Good job breaking it hero", 15% bromance, and 5% piano.

Will the sin continue until the 7th generation?

Jund Aggro

[deck]
Creatures
4 Experiment One
4 Spike Jester
4 Fanatic of Xenagos
4 Dreg Mangler
2 Boon Satyr
4 Ghor-Clan Rampager
3 Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch
3 Stormbreath Dragon

Spells
2 Xenagos, the Reveler
2 Dreadbore
2 Ultimate Price
2 Golgari Charm

Lands
4 Blood Crypt
4 Overgrown Tomb
4 Stomping Ground
4 Temple of Malice
4 Temple of Abandon
2 Golgari Guildgate
2 Forest

Sideboard
2 Chandra, Pyromaster
2 Doom Blade
2 Golgari Charm
1 Ultimate Price
1 Dreadbore
4 Thoughtseize
3 Dark Betrayal[/deck]

So far in testing it's decimating the top popular decks. Basically there's too much haste going on and not enough removal. Golgari Charm prevents Supreme, D-Sphere, and any Mono B removal. As an added bonus it takes care of Master of Waves and god weapons. Drown in Sorrow is Mono B's only way out of been swept, but most of the creatures have big butts to get killed
by it.

I feel like Fanatic of Xenagos is the weak link in the deck. Xenagos himself can probably be Domri. I'll have to do more testing.

I really like this decklist TBuzz, however arent 8 temples too many? And 2 guildgates? I would like to see a 3 color deck like that to have 2 main color + splash one (probably black) for powerful spells like removals/rakdos's return etc.

I could see how you can make it better by playing more 2 drops that are good in late game - stuff like scavenging ooze. It gains haste from exava so in late game it also can be used as a 3+/3+ haste for 3+.

You are really heavy in 3, I understand that 3 drops are powerful, but 10 of them (ok boon satyr is a 5 drop but 8 are still a lot).

Planeswalkers are really powerful, especially domri. Every creature in this deck is quite big, so you will win most fights, and what cant be killed dies to removal.

Red/Green/Black gives you access for a lot of removal spells. Between Mortars/Putrefy/Decay/Dreadbore/Ultimate Price/Golgari Charm you need to get a correct ratio, also I preffer to
have more diverse selection, as they gives you some upsides a lot (mortars overloaded, decays killing connections, etc).

I dont really like to have sb full of removal spells in deck like that. Would love to have some bigger 1 offs such as Garruk, Sire of Insanity or Ruric Thar. More planeswalkers in chandra/domri/xenagos. Or even proactive way to prevent lifegain in Erebos (drawing card is cool)

Some of my friends recorded similar deck in their playtest. They have some technical problems, however it is still watchable:

BTW, what would you take for Games Day:

Last Eric Smith's Rb devotion
or
Last MDU's RB Agro
??

Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.
