Back before you really came into the Blathering Thread, there was a running gag about my thanks/has thanked for the post parity, it used to be completely even and when I'd thank either Tom or Bhikku would thank my posts until it was correct again... but then rezombad started thanking for all the a posts in Blathering 3, and it's been off since then. They did a study back in the 90's about the effectiveness of warning signs. I'm not going to pull up the actual report but the findings were, essentially, that the more obtrusive the warning, the higher the likelihood that people would disregard it. Their best finding was putting up a 3-D sign with a flashing red warning light and the words "DANGER, EXTREMELY HIGH VOLTAGE, YOU WILL DIE IF YOU OPEN THIS DOOR! WE ARE NOT KIDDING, YOU WILL DIE" still got something like a 20% open-the-door-anyway rate.
