So, I just realized I've been in this clan for about a year now, I believe? Feels like it's flown by.

Even now, when I play standard bimonthly at best, I find myself gravitating here. This group has certainly transcended just a collection of people with similar interests. You're all such awesome people, and I'm happy to see new faces coming around.

Thanks for being a part of my world.

While I did nothing of significance in regards to major Magic tournaments, I did build a new EDH deck that I may shortly make a thread for because the people I'm going to actually play it against are not exactly forthcoming with assistance in making it better able to beat them. Who are the big EDH players in the clan? Dechs, Red, Helios...?

I also have the day off work, because the boss drives a tiny car and lives out in the boondocks, and every time there's an ice/snow storm he says "fuck it, if I'm not going to make it in you don't have to either."

Dechs is the big one. Suga and Stabber are also fairly active in that sub.

The problem, though, is that unlike Standard where there is pretty much one universal meta that we can all relate to and reference there's nothing like that in EDH because there are thousands of Commander metas that are all different.

So I could give you advice on your deck that would be absolute gold in my meta, but absolute garbage in yours.

Basically, while advice is still better than no advice, if you want a good deck, you're going to have to do like 95% of the work yourself.

PS I play a lot of Commander but I tend to just build broken decks that do dumb things and don't care if my opponents are having fun.

If your opponets aren't teaming up to try and kill you first every game then you're not playing EDH right.

I'm hoping to skirt just under that radar. That they'll team kill someone else first and by then it'll be too late.

Derevi is a sweet commander, albeit the deck out of the box is unplayable. He has some sweet interactions though, especially with a deck that makes evasive tokens.

Derevi can get stupid quick.

T-Shirt looks like a less witty "Don't Daze me, bro!" - which isn't particularly funny itself.

+EDIT+ That sounded a lot meaner than I meant it to...

Anyone in Europe getting DTR shirt? GP Warsaw is coming plus from this holiday might finally get money to travel more so need to be prepared.

Btw need a deck on modern to grind for mocs as currently only want to play mono g devo or mo o white prison as I dont feel i like any top deck, plus I heard modern is a format that experience > deck choicee.

Speaking of shirts, hey Doc, how much would it cost to do a set of shirts with the new logo? Thinking of suiting up our testing team for our next team outing. We're going to Richmond but only two of us will be wearing shirts. :P

The FoS shirts are nice and all, but you can't ever really wear them in public. I've been asked "Where is that church?" at least ten times in the past month by elderly people or just young idiots.

One lady even thought the "diestoremoval" part said "Diedforyoursins.com"

Yesterday a lady asked me about the "church," and I replied "Well, it used to be out in Boone, but it got overrun by homosexuals and premarital sex" and walked out of that Harris Teeter feeling accomplished.

Derevi looked pretty badass, but I'd dump almost everything else he comes with. Bant colors aren't my strong suit (not enough Black) so I'd have to do a lot of research first. I impulse bought the Jund set off a guy for $20 a few weeks ago, and I have unopened Grixis and Esper sets in the top of my closet in case they're worth significantly more than I paid by this time next year or so.

I built Teysa, Orzhov Scion. I'm leaning towards Glissa the Traitor for my next one. That's just basing ideas off good stuff cards I already own.

The art is too complicated for my humble ability to do stuff for free, so more than zero. I have a post in the t-shit interest thread that goes over our pricing of silkscreen prints. That solution is best, financially, for larger runs. For just two shirts, we can work out alternatives to silkscreen prints. I can do digitally printed heat transfers as well. I will look into the price for that when I get back to the shop tomorrow. How much time
are we looking at before you will want to be wearing them?

Any chance your shop does embroidered polos? I wouldn't mind having a nice FoS everyday shirt that didn't cost three figures.

Yeah, when looking up prices for the t-shirt stuff I designed a nice polo that was like $60/shirt if we could get a minimum order of like 10 shirts... turns out not too many people are willing to drop $60 on a polo.
