Looking at the MTGO player of the year race, I see that magicdownunder is tied for 69th(!) place in the constructed standings. That's awesome, dude.
mdu do you have a job or do you get to spend all your time grinding ? cuz no matter how many times I qualify , I just can't put up the hours for 35 QP's

like I've beaten some of mtgos most notorious names on multiple occasions, but the difference is they're ALWAYS logged in. it's easy to win packs if you can play in -every- daily.

Also, what do you guys think of the boggle deck?
You'll lose to Jund and Junk, but since DrS is banned we may see less Jund and Junk....

I only play 1 event per day (except weekends), people tell me I'm just lucky all the time....
n
I think its just because this season's Standard was so abuse able that I'm doing so well :p

What if I main deck the white leyline? That card seems like it just owns most of the decks in the format...

Leyline does stop discard and burn, but Affinity, Jund/Junk, Pod and Twins don't care (I rate these are the top list in Modern, though Jund/Junk is weaker now). Online Tron, Merfolk, Hate Bears and Scapeshift don't care much for it either.

That said if Lilly see less play I believe Boggles would do very well - I may play Boogles as well since I love the comments you get when you win with the list :D.

The bogle deck was a meta call by Reid in a championship mostly populated by players who prefer UWR control decks. In a more wide open meta, there are many ways to answer the deck. It will mise wins though, given the right draws, so is never bad. It's distinctly weak to permission and combo.

Well it shuts down liliana and discard so that hurts Jund's ways to beat you, and it stops Karn, pod infinite damage combo, scape shift loses to it too, right?

You can't be targeted by any opponents abilities I believe...

I retract my comments on Leyline (I thought Lilly didn't target, I really need to read up on Modern since I'm also getting ready for Modern MOCS) yeah go for it

This would be for GP Minneapolis which isn't for a few months, so the meta will probably change a bunch, but my main worry is that UR delver is a very popular deck and they often run hibernation sideboard and that is a beating but it's probably not worth worrying about a 2 of in the board.

I'll buy the deck and see what I think

Currently testing:

Modern:
Boggles
Soul Sister (it still does well against a lot of decks)

Standard:
Mono Black Aggro
Foggy Maze
Esper

Block:
Mono Black Aggro
UB Tempo

yea, especially when you use the instant tap-bounce (something helix?) at eot to bounce their one blocker, untap, copy kraken, attack for 13 :hifive:

oh, and the 3/2 conscripts guy is amazing too. I had a 5/5 and the conscripts, my opp has a 4/4 and a 2/2. I give my conscripts +3+3, trample, and I draw equal to the damage it deals, steal the 4/4, attack for 15, he has to block the 5/5, I draw 6 :toot:
