That's honestly the biggest downfall of the majority of players: blaming there losses on external factors outside of there control.

Hence why most players are terrible.

RB sucks.

GW is the best, Gx is generally very good. Overall blue and black are the weakest colours.

Blue has some surprisingly good creatures, though. I've played UG more often than I thought I would.

Cool. I plan on entering as well. Only a 2 hour drive to San Diego from my current location. Taking TarmoTwin.

What city are you in again?

El Centro, CA. I am actually much closer to Arizona and Mexico borders than I am to any major city located in Southern Cali. The 2 hour drive makes all the difference. Summer time temp rises easily over 100. Hoping to make the move to San Diego by next year.

Blue is decent only as a support color. Welkin tern and frost lynx are good in aggressive decks (R/U , W/U) , while divination and coral barrier are good in control decks (B/U). But there is sign in blood already so divination loses appeal. Yeah, blue sucks overall.

I speak enough French to translate the article, by the way.

I don't even need to read the article. It just says "CONCEDE! DROP YOUR CARDS! THEN RUN AWAY!!"

Well here is the article http://www.magiccorporation.com/gatheri ... d-red.html

I realized it is longer than i thought, so don't bother translating everything, just underline more interesting parts (strategy, not obvious interactions, reasons for card choices).... whoever wants to do it can post it in the modern developing section where someone opened the "big red" topic. If no one wants to do it I totally understand :)

Dechs: i love playing underestimated archetypes so people get pissed when lose against me . I tried google translate but is terrible
LP : well-rounded and feminine

One USA Penny is 2.5 grams.

Pennies minted in 1981 or earlier are 95% copper.

That means that each 1981 or earlier penny contains 2.375 grams of copper.

In pounds, that measurement comes to 0.005 and change (Ha! Get it? Pennies. Change. HAHAHAHA!).

Anyway, the current price of copper is $3.15 per pound.

... and I just found my get rich quick scheme.

You'd have to separate the copper from the other metals though, right?

I think that's why we stopped using pennies in Canada.

Posted: Thu Aug 21, 2014 7:04 pm
by Dechs Kaison
It's 95% copper. That's gotta be close enough. Else when you melt it down they should just separate like oil and water, right?

I think the metal in newer pennies is still worth a bit more than one cent, but the change was made because copper is still worth a lot more than nickel/zinc (or whatever is on the inside of new pennies). Anyway, there are laws strictly against doing this.
