But isn't Aspirant good because it can bypass tokens and caryatids?
Tokens especially. Caryatid just chumpblocks.
It can't be blocked by creatures of power 1 or less. Caryatid can't block it, if I'm not mistaken.
I understand, however Marauder would be just chumpblocked, so it doesnt matter.
Wut?
Marauder is 1/2 for 1R that gets +2/0 when attacking...
Why are we talking about the Marauder? I was talking about Aspirant.

I actually don't even get the fascination. There's almost no merits to playing red based aggro in a land full of Sylvan Caryatid and Courser of Kruphix, lol.

Do not switch to blue decks. Your clan's stubborn refusal to only play red decks is at the core of who you are.

That's actually reminiscent of the opening to Metallica's Broken, Beat, and Scarred.

I went x-1-1 last night, thank you very much!

It's entirely beyond me why somebody would play Tron with all Japanese lands, all of which have art that leaves the viewer confused as to whether he's looking at a mine or a power plant, and none of which have matching art.

Because they're an asshole. :sherlock:

Admittedly I do very subtle things to put my opponents on tilt since Magic players are a bunch of autistic sperglords with OCD, some of which include:
  • Play with one mismatched die in my brick of dice.
  • Play with multiple playmats on top of each other, none of which are the same size.[/*:
    m]
  • Intentionally play mismatched permanents. (My Lords of Atlantis are ALL from different sets in Fish, for instance.)
  • Play with my lands upside down.
  • Constantly play with my deck half-on, half-off of my playmats.

With Mutavault rotating we are ushering in a whole new era for FoS. No longer do they have to push alt budg lists with excuses for why it doesn't need boss hog vault
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

He wasn't cheating, and admitted multiple times to not having tron even with 5 of the lands out, and I don't think he was doing it to be an asshole. I think he just really liked foreign cards, since 95% of his deck was either Japanese or German (I only remember Emrakul, Eye of Ugin and Ancient Stirrings being in English), and it's hard to find a matching set of foreign black-bordered Urza lands, I guess. Personally, I'd rather have my own matching, white border, English ones.

I bought a set of Mutas for 60, played with them for half a year, sold them at 120 and quit Standard until a few weeks ago. So I guess I only budg caj'd it for 2 FNMs with Pyro Red sans Mutas and any cards newer than Theros.

I like white borders on Izzet type stuff, like Shivan Reef. Scalding Tarn would look hot in white border.
