I probably should, but I am reluctant.

I feel like I'm probably facing my quarter life crisis. I can't find work in my field, I'm working shitty jobs, stuck living at home for now, friends all have wives / kids and I'm just feeling lost.

Magic gives me a little escape, but it's not working anymore.
Get thee to a doctor, young man.

You're reluctant for a number of reasons, mostly stemming from fear. Depression is serious stuff. Please don't let it control your life.

So Zemanjaski just got DQd for cheating at the Grand Prix in Australia, anyone know Wtf happened?

I'm assuming he fucked up his deck again with not all cards in same orientation since he never plays paper magic

His reputation is damaged for a long time because of this, since it's the second incident he's involved in. Guilty or honest mistake, doesn't matter. It will follow him for a long time.

I reserve judgement until I get more details, because those tweets didn't feel very reliable.

Jesus. I'm a forgiving person and all, but that's fucked.

It pretty bad for magic, makes all of Z's fans who don't know him feel stupid, puts all his friends in awkward positions, and does a big number on his community(there's this thing called GBA).

Way to fuckin' blow it.

I was being sarcastic. It might be fine in tokens. I think Purp said he liked it.

As I mentioned, I haven't updated established decks yet.

Guilt by association.

Australia doesn't have a noteworthy pro community and Z was doing the most work by far of trying to promote for his country. Now that he's a known cheater(regardless of 1-time or not, that's what he is) it makes all of his associates look bad by association and brings up questions of whether or not they new he was a cheater.

It doesn't help that Z is a known assehole half the time.

Due to recent events, James Fazzolari is no longer associated with ChannelFireball.

We discussed this and if James feels comfortable/wants to post something around here I think we would more than happy to give him a more sheltered venue if he feels the need to explain himself or just share some words. You guys could probably mod the thread so that wouldn't devolve on a lynching thread.

If he wants to post something in the frontpage that's cool too.

I think he is distancing himself a bit, but it might be good for him if he want to salvage his reputation / magic career.
