We always got along a little too well and there's always been this awkwardness between us, but apparently not being her boss anymore removed a barrier or something. I really missed talking to her and I guess I confused things when she broke the tacit no-physical-contact agreement. She texted me a couple times, which never happened before either. We've been having lunch together for a while now and it has become apparent that she only seeks friendship. Not only that, but I also realized that, as I suspected, what I felt is more what I called withdrawal syndrome than anything.

Plus, I'm not afraid to admit that given how young I was when the Mrs. and I started dating, despite having lots of experience being in a relationship, I'm rather inexperienced starting one.
