If you're still thinking Ham is town, how do you feel about a vig shot on Rez? He's been our lurkiest slot by far, and not particularly townish.

Rez was the guy who connected to me via com-chat. In the chat, he said that he'd been thinking of a vote versus Ham, but he hasn't acted on it at all. In fact, he's done pretty much nothing since GR died, and I wonder if there's a correlation between his activity level and his expectation of whether the mafia will win or not. I'm also not sure what the motivation for building a private com-chat would be from a townie perspective - there's so many more exciting things. It seems more like an extra ability that might be thrown in there as a mafia freebie/power boost, similar to Ham's bat-protection.

There was also this weird comment he made about wanting me to post in there with him, rather than the thread, that kind of struck me as him trying to pump me for info.

I like him better than anyone else as either 3rd scum with Ham, or in some bizzaro universe that doesn't actually exist, as scum in place of Ham.

Also:

"Rezombad and Hamfactorial are both scum."

Well, theoretically, the mod tells him whether a player is telling the truth or not in a designated sentence. If that seems strange and potentially unworkable, well, that's more of a problem for Stardust.

Hey Imopen, how well did you word it? Like, is it actually a lie detector or is it some sort of actual truth finder with your prophecy specialization?

Example: I say "one of either Rez, Ham, or MoJo is scum." You submit that phrase. Technically, I don't know if the phrase is true, so a lie detector would just tell you "He doesn't know," but a real prophecy machine could tell you whether it was true.

Please tell me you worded it like the latter. That would make this infinitely more fun.

If you did word it like an actual prophecy machine, we could probably develop two phrases that should definitively tell us who the remaining scum are with true/false values on them.

Brainstorming...
Phrase one: The remaining scum is either Ham, Rez, or LMD.
Phrase two: The remaining scum is either Ham or RedN.

If they're both true, then we hang Ham. If one's true but not the other, it clears Ham and implicates Rez/LMD or confirms RedN depending on which is true. I mean, that covers five of eight remaining players right now. MoJo should shoot one of us today, we'll hang another one, and one should die tonight. That's everybody accounted for. Holy shit, this could solve the game.

Well, yeah, my two statements weren't really taking into account today's vig shot (which I'm increasingly believing doesn't exist) and today's lynch.

I was taking Imopen's claim of being the master of prophecy and the afterlife and running with it.

I doubt that's how his power really works... but wouldn't it be damn cool if it was?

I'm not doing anything, and I don't want this game to move on, until:
1) imopen comes back and tell us how his power is supposed to work (he designed it);
2) we complete the list of "I'm town" / "I'm scum" posts;
3) MoJo tells the world what happened to his vig shot, and tells us what we should think of the fact that he's not doing anything of it.
