Whoa. My role is fuckin' crazy.

Hey, zeman, thing is, you've already said something silly. I agree with Kaze that you don't sound genuine. But I don't think I'll vote you quite yet. I'd rather go after rcw. That guy's been scum every game I've ever played with him.

Vote rcwraspy.
Was this an RVS vote?

Why didn't you vote Zeman here?

scumbuddies!
So your a miller, that could mean any number of things, what is there to discuss about it?
um... is there an alternative Miller that you've played with before or something?
this is very assumptive of you. votes on stardust are legit until he returns and answers our questions

Unvote, Vote Stardust

you shouldn't need to defend ham period. he's made how many posts and you have a townread on him?

"dokay" reads to me as "... *shrug*" or "I'm just gonna wait till someone else comments". say you don't believe me if you don't believe me. otherwise it leaves you room to backpedal.

your comment about votes for Stardust being 'legit' just feels artificial and that you're just trying to blend in.

rcw and ham are scum because of the whole chainsaw thing I outlined earlier, and you're scum with ham for defending Stardust. hey you're right that was fun, you try! who else do you think is scum right now?

[pedit] hey, this whole explanation thing is fun after all, you should join in, rezzy (can I call you rezzy?). c'mon. safe space.

If I may interject, I'm familiar with pie's playstyle as we both hail from the same mothersite; he regularly self-votes in RVS to stimulate discussion. I'm calling it null.

As for whether his claim is also for reactionary purposes, I haven't decided yet. I honestly don't want to touch that claim with a 10-metre pole.

I think we are on the right track here though.

I think pressuring stardust until he explains the whole "yeah z you look bad... Vote: someone else" thing is a good idea, if not, Pie seems like he is reaching pretty hard. I also am not a fan of the LOL imma vote myself aint that funny move.

My suspicions are on Z,Pie, and Stardust right now.

@ Kaze, I want to hear from Stardust because his decision to effectively FOS me then vote elsewhere seems suspect. It links us in the minds of others. The interaction between you and me was the driving narrative of the early discussion and much of what else went on fed off that. I want Stardust's words in writing for me to re-analyse the last few pages and start looking for motives.

@ Everyone, We claim at L-2 right? If Stardust is already at L-3 there's no need to push him to claim already, that sort of info is probably very valuable for the mafia. There's almost certainly some mafia pushing the wagon and I think it's best to be a little more informed before pushing further. The pace has already been very quick so it's not like we won't have more to analyse if we ease off. I'm not saying don't ask him more questions - his answers, or lack of them - will give us more info.

ugh I hate some posting-related things on this forum. lack of a highlight->quote feature and ISO is gonna kill me.

re: rezzy (and define 'worried'?)

explain to me, in excruciating detail, what is wrong with voting for yourself on page one of a game. a similar situation popped up in another game I was in a month or so back. give me reasons why it is proactive for scum to do this.

ham voted stardust because stardust said one person was scummy and voted another. This is you misrepresenting the situation.
I wasn't quite getting that from ham's post at all. he said: "to hunt corruption you must first embrace it". don't try and flip that around to match your reason here; ham's post doesn't make any fucking sense to me. it's vague bullshit.

Your vote for imopen is pretty OMGUSey. "If you don't believe my miler claim you are scum.&
quot;

no, that's not really one of the main reasons for the vote. I gave others y'know. I did include it because I try and think of these things from an outside perspective sometimes.

Kaze: actually, I don't 'regularly' selfvote in RVS? misrep much?

oh christ there's 4 scum in a 12p, this game's broken as balls.

Tube:
You seem to be trying to deflect attention from stardust onto yourself...
no, I'm curious as to why there is someone (now multiple people) calling me scum yet going with the incredibly easy Stardust wagon here. it is not sitting right at all with me.

most of your posts btw are just rehashes of what rezzy already accused me of.

if people want to think I'm scum with Star, I can understand that (it's similar to ham pesudo-defending rcw) but I still hate this frakking lynch.

alright so:
rcw + ham are probably alignment-linked
tube + rezzy probably aren't on the same team
z's probably town.

all I got for now.

btw, I do understand what everyone is talking about w/r/t Stardust and calling out Z but voting rcw and whatever. I'm not that bad at this.

however, given the context and stage of game I actually don't find that post scummy. and the speed of this wagon and the way people have jumped on is really bugging me.

it means that if I believe that pie and stardust are scum together, stardust's vote for rcw and pie's throwing rcw into his scum list is a possible bus.

pie: I don't believe you have yet explained why rcw was scum to you (partnered with ham) when rcw had not even posted once yet. that makes no sense

also, just because I think you're scum doesn't mean I don't think stardust is too. i'd lynch either of you right now but i'd prefer to wait till I hear from stardust. he has some explaining to do

it goes against your wincon. I'm not entirely worried about the self vote because I think you were trying to get some discussion from it.

You're right, I misread. Rereading, he could be voting for stardust because of stardusts dumb post and being cryptic. Or just rvs'ing. I've never played a game with hamfactorial though so I don't know.

1. Neither here nor there imo
2. Not weird justification for stardust vote
3. Are you admitting to fakeclaiming miller?
oh christ there's 4 scum in a 12p, this game's broken as balls.
How do you know this?
You post on dtr? Cool? Honestly, I don't know who posts there and who doesn't.
I actually read that site quite a bit but its mostly because a lot of the people I used to interact with on MTGS are over there.
It should be a privilege to post here

man, I'm used to not explaining myself... and if I have to keep doing this, even though it's so much fun, it just ruins things for me a little :(
It's funny that you are demanding explanations and complaining about having to explain things.

demand is a strong word. and it's hilarious. I meant more like... I hate having to walk through every explanation* since I'm used to playing with people that share my playstyle.

well duh selfvoting goes against your wincon. or does it

if you've never played a game with ham, how did you know why he was voting Stardust? you seemed confident. and no, I would never admit to fakeclaiming miller.

lastly, there are "4 scum in a 12p" because ham+rcw+imopen+Kaze. since this is realistically unlikely, it was my sarcastic way of saying "why are there so many scummy people".

*... ^see? that right there? that ruins things for me.
If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know if you're being lied to?

The answer? Use a gun. And if that don't work... use more gun.

explained that already.

from a neutral standpoint I guess you could use the same logic with Stardust and I given my reactions to the wagon and whatnot. which I've also stated.

[pedit] imopen: he's scum because I said so. happy?
exactly, your explanation was weak because it doesn't make sense. ham's "defense of rcw" in the form of a vote on stardust is not nearly enough of a reason to be confident in an rcw+ham scum team (especially considering stardust's scummy post where he voted Z), or even of a shared alignment. if they aren't scum, how would ham know to defend rcw? your claim of a shared alignment only makes sense if
they are both scum.

sorry you have to explain things to us dumb people :isthatso:
Kijin Zabuza: My pokemon cards bring the boys to the yard
Kijin Zabuza: And they're like, "Oh **** he has cards"
TwinBGenerationX: damn right
TwinBGenerationX: I wanna trade cards I could trade you, BUT NOT MY CHARIZARD!

Now sure how I fell into your scumpile, pie, but cool beans.

But hey hey if you're saying you in fact don't self-vote for discussion on the regular than I thought then you're basically saying that this is something I should be concerned about.

I shall direct you to a former post of mine-
RVS is a tool. It is not a place where it is okay to be random, nor is it a place where votes do not matter because "lolRVS." It has a purpose - and that is to kickstart scumhunting. Since everyone gets their Role PMs before the start of the game, every post from the beginning is readable.

Town wants to get out of RVS as soon as possible and
start scumhunting and creating good discussion. Completely random votes(random.org), self-votes, voting the mod, etc are all means of perpetuating RVS and attempting to hide behind a "shield of random" as scum as well as attempting to stay unreadable. They don't want to put out information Town can read into. So, derp RVSing is a means of limiting information to the town.

In addition to all of that, derpRVSing is a means of perpetuating an overall feeling of "it's okay not to be serious" and prohibits scumhunting further. By projecting an air of unaccountability, Scum can make it incredibly difficult to get good reads at the beginning of the game. This harms the town. This is scummy. Very very scummy.

TL;DR - The purpose of RVS is not to be random, but to GET OUT OF RVS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. RedNihilist is not attempting to do that.

Votes for RedNihilist are good things.
I was giving you a pass
because I was under the impression this was your modus operandi, but thanks for letting me know it's not. You're a peach <3

rezombad is town
imopen leans town
Pie is conflicted
James leans scum
Stardust is scum
The rest of you I dunno yet.

Poke some holes in my reads and see what flows out.

My townread on rez is pretty strong, btw. Because of this here:
Stardust has four votes. L-3.
hamfactorial, imopen2, rezombad, kaze, tubehunter
l-2
I miscounted on purpose. Scum would have let it slide hoping to get a mislynch/derphammer before the vote count. rezombad corrected me like a good townie. ^_^
