this might be a good card.
or it might not be.

this is most likely a worse monastery mentor, who sees only mixed play right now in standard, because it produces a single threat without evasion.
the only areas where it might be better are that it costs 1 and the buffs stick, and can accumulate as a mana sink. it also provides a cheap prowess trigger as a non-zero value add.

if jeskai/rw tokens has space for a champion of the parish effect, this is it. that it functions even as a late-game topdeck because it can build itself up is certainly a bonus.

This is a nice option for Modern Jeskai Ascendancy in cases where Fatestitcher is too unreliable.

It's a "storm" fatty.

The card is probably going to be underrated before people realize it dodges all forms of Planeswalker and sorcery removal and serves as a solid mid to late game beater.

It's Champion of the Parish but you can use it to grow itself with mana.
