Haven't found anyone willing to loan them out yet either. Most people that have them are playing them.

Just win them at the Gameday.

Not really. I'm usually able to order or trade for my cards in time. I just kind of got caught with my pants down this time since I couldn't order cards and guarantee them arrive before Gameday.

Like, I'm not paying for next day shipping for a glorified FNM.

I think my problem is Treasure Cruise withdrawal. I don't want to play a deck without Treasure Cruise. I've gone full LSV.

this is why i bought ojutai's two months ago so i would avoid that exact problem.

that and the 3x price spike

just replace ojutai with anticipate. they do the same thing. :stupid:

Replace with Wardscale Dragon. It's safe when Ojutai is not.

Anticipate + Old Wardy = Ojutai

Seems legit.

Better yet just play the old Ojutai

It costs more and does less

It's a worse Icefall Regent.
Everyone loves worse Icefall Regent.

How to make PT Dark Ascension breakout Dungeon Geists a steadily $3+ card:
Step 1: Make it cost more
Step 2: Make it more like Frost Titan
Step 3: Make it bigger
Step 4: Make it have a beneficial interaction with all of the control cards in DTK
Step 5: Make it's creature type Dragon because Dragons test really well with the 18-35 "willing to take a customer survey about Magic the Gathering" market

Khaos, you've been upgraded to sherrif badge for hotel room symbolism purposes.

And while there you must go into other hotel rooms and scavenge for supplies

[deck]Big Rakdos named just to rile up Kait[/deck]

With only a single 5 drop I cut the swamp in the board and the price for the two Commands, with only a single 5 drop I don't think the 25th land is as needed, however if the mana goes wonky in testing I would cut a removal spell to add teh swamp back in.

I opted for SBD here as the miser, but I think Sarkie may be the better call. I didn't opt for Kolaghan because I don't think 60% of the time he'll be pumping more than himself, so I'd want the option to hit a 7/7 prowhite dragon here. Sarkhan seems good here to because he gives you another roast, becomes a pseudo SBD and can generate CA if the game goes really long. Both SBD and Sark dodge a lot of the removal that will take out the Regents, so I think it comes down to what colors you expect to face the most. SBD dodges all the white but can still be picked off in combat vs Sark who can be exiled but can't be hit in combat and may soak a life or two that gives the winning edge.

Thoughts?

If I close one of my deals on time for work I'll go to GP Vegas too. It's a big check so I might splurge and get a suite at one of the higher end places.

That's about what I arrived at as well.

I like Kolaghan for the dash and pump, which gets stupid with Thunderbreak attacking, effectively giving a Trumpet Blast to the whole team. She also dodges Ultimate Price, and can kill Regent or Stormbreath in combat and survive.

[deck]
4 seeker of the way
4 soulfire grand master
4 goblin rabblemaster
4 monastery mentor

4 wild slash
3 lightning strike
2 roast
1 valorous stance
4 hordeling outburst
4 stoke the flames
3 chandra, pyromaster

4 temple of triumph
4 battlefield forge
2 wind-scarred crag
4 plains
9 mountain

2 erase
2 roast
2 surge of righteousness
2 twin bolt
2 valorous stance
1 glare of heresy
4 outpost siege
[/deck]

Thoughts? Is 23 land too greedy? Ashcloud Phoenix instead of Outpost Siege in the board for flexibility in a GR-heavy meta? Searing Blood instead of Twin Bolt?

Must be nice. In my bid for my third straight win, my deck said no yet again. I can never seem to draw a reasonable number of lands. It was either 2 or 9 all day.

I dont care for legacy at all and nothing in modern interests me at the moment. I don't have enough time to keep up with standard anymore.
