Yeah, um, it's a 4cc mana drain in a format practically defined exclusively by spells that cost either X or 5+, not to mention it's probably got a solid place in Modern/Legacy. ...really that's a little silly.

Edit- also note that you get the mana regardless of whether the spell is actually countered or not, if I'm reading correctly.

If we can't get a mana leak reprint don't expect us to get a usable mana drain

I miss my G/U EDH deck. Mana Drain was such a powerhouse there and I can't imagine playing another copy (albeit with a more restrictive mana cost).

I've ~kinda~ been keeping an eye on GUR goodguys because it's a fond wish of mine to build a relevant deck around Biovisionary/Signal the Clans and as a diggable one-of this guy might get there inside or outside the Biovisionary Deck Shell.

i like it but i like silly cards.

I think that Clone+New one every turn seems great in draft, You get the U/G Evolving going off and you get their biggest creature once at least.
