So, can someone explain to me why do we even have twilight in this game if there isn't a governor? The fact that there is a twilight-relevant ability around cannot be disputed.

Not necessarily true. Many games have twlight for a period of time both to allow the mod to write the flavour and for the players to correct any mistakes in the votecount. There is no set time-period for twilight in this game (24 hrs, or whatever). The fact that Iso claimed governor Day 1 may have even caused Dan to extend the twilights slightly just to allow the fake-claim to have some legs. I've done similar before as a mod when I thought it would make the game more balanced or fun.

Anyone want to speculate on other reasons my ability might have failed? I did not get the same message that... whoever it was that targeted HowlingMad got. Their ability apparently went through but failed to do anything - mine just didn't go through at all and didn't use up my shot.

Anyway, I need to wrap my head around all this and don't have the time right this minute. Maybe later I'
ll make an excel sheet with all the night actions last night. This is too messy.

No. I can only use it once a game, so when I came into this role during Night 1, I wasn't sure who I should target and how I could use this ability aside from proving myself town to someone who I thought was town. I considered targeting Iso, but figured there must be a better use of the ability since I had nothing to say to him and nothing to learn from him. Mulling it over Day 2, I decided to target Nuwen. With my alignment confirmed to her, she would have no reason to lie so I figured I could pretty easily determine exactly what was up between her and Fate and hopefully determine her alignment based on her reactions to my questions in the QT. It would also lock her into a claim if she were scum (since, as town, she would have no reason not to share everything). If she claimed Mason, I had a couple choice quotes set aside to grill her with, quotes
that showed her inclination to share info with Fate in-thread rather than in their Mason chat.

I suppose there's no reason not to share what I'd planned to ask her. I had it pre-written so I could quickly post it from my phone over the weekend as soon as Day started. The **'d bit at the end would obviously be in my second post following her response.

Is the bolded why I was roleblocked? If so, what could the mafia have suspected my role was? Seems to say vig (which would be in line with the Col K vig shot the night before, since I suspected him). This potentially points to Nuwen as scum as well (since this post gives her a reason to roleblock me).

Anyway, whatever. I'll reread the game today or tomorrow in light of Kaze's flip. I'm going to stop speculating until then.

Why did you consider Iso possible scum (for having a Day ability), but not Suga (who also has a Day ability)?

Don't. I've only played as town once before (twice if you count Dusted, thrice if you count a game where I was SK). I think I'm pretty good at reading people in the later Days, but I don't have a ton of experience to back that up.

MTGS convention is L-2 to avoid the scum hammer (which too often ends up being the noob hammer instead) and the self hammer. But anyway, I'm voicing my support of this wagon, so it's basically L-1 except that we can keep this Day going for a while.

What I meant by that is that I'll be reassessing both of you at that time. You are a town read, Nuwen is a scum read. Either Nuwen is scum therefore you are scum or you are town therefore Nuwen is town, something that I'm unlikely to forget. I'm slightly leaning more towards the first option since Nuwen is a stronger scum read than you are a town read, but I'm not sure enough of that to push either wagon at the moment. So I'll leave you two hazy for a bit and get more info elsewhere.
