I'd say this deck definitely wants BTE yeah, BTE-BTE-MS is usually game vs control or any deck that stumbles just a little bit

I'm interested in taking the deck to a more 'big' devotion approach since Purph has dropped to 8 euros a piece and is now a legitimate budget option for me :)

If anyone has any experience with the bigger version please do share your thoughts!

Looks like something that I might be able to use to dominate my local meta

I love that you can run 4 thoughtseize and still have such an explosive curve in game 2+

I absolutely would love to see Kill-Thrill Assassin vs G/R decks

The thing that worries me about that list is that you only have 19 sources that can cast Boros Reckoner on curve which means you will be stuck on 2 red mana quite often.

BTE -> (BTE ->) FFS/MJ is has proven to be incredibly powerful in my devo red deck so yeah I'd run BTE over any other two-drop except for ash zealot.

pyro red isnt particularly fast, I think you actually have a decent match-up versus traditional mono red with ash zealots and whatever. The reason Pyro red stops you is because Chandra is basically an edict every turn for 16 of your creatures. Spear is honestly your best card against us as we have ...

Against what kind of WW have you tested this deck, zem? From my testing against most red aggro decks my WW deck with a splash of red for boros charm seemed to do quite fine actually... Against exactly the variation you're describing (12x 1 drop, 10x 2 drop, 4 Banisher Priest, 23 land, 3 Spear, 4 Ch...

Yeah, I honestly (and I know that I might be the only one who thinks this) consider jet as important if not more so then lightning strike. The 3 damage can be a lifesaver, but so can the scry. After a bunch of tests against a variety of decks I think I'll stick to running Magma Jet. Not only is BTE...

Here is a Red-White Devotion List which has taken the MODO meta for a ride:

Deck Link

Its been doing quite well for itself even in a meta chock full of MonoBlack.
That list is magic (get it?)

Will test it as soon as I've gotten all the Sacred Foundries I ordered

Actually, I'm going to disagree with Stabber. I think your 60 is right where you want to be, with the exception being that you may want 1 additional Mountain to help cast Reckoner on curve. On second thought, I also think Magma Jet should be Shock. You're trying to go as fast as possible, so the sc...

To add a bit of context, I have been having major issues with G/R ramp, which is exactly why I removed RSF (I had them as a 4-of in my original list) because they were absolutely awful in that match-up. Seeing as explosive BTE-draws are good against pretty much everything it seemed like a logical sw...

Needs more Voice of Resurgence, that card is absolutely nuts. I'd also suggest Sylvan Caryatid, wall + mana ramp is exactly what you need in a deck like this which will be looking to stall until they can drop its big threats anyway. If you want to run Blood Baron you should at least run 3, it seems ...

I've noticed a few of you are playing bigger versions of the deck. Is anyone playing a smaller version? I actually jumped to the middle ground - cut Aurelia and Shocks for a quadruple Satyr. G/R ramp decks are really problematic, I faced two guys playing it and they both had two games where they either put a Polukranos or an Arbor Colossus down on turn 2 (!). I had absolutely no chance, Nykthos is just over t...
