The thing that worries me about that list is that you only have 19 sources that can cast Boros Reckoner on curve which means you will be stuck on 2 red mana quite often.

BTE -> (BTE ->) FFS/MJ is has proven to be incredibly powerful in my devo red deck so yeah I'd run BTE over any other two-drop except for ash zealot.

pyro red isnt particularly fast, I think you actually have a decent match-up versus traditional mono red with ash zealots and whatever.
