Everyone here knows that burn is highly skill intensive but the problem is that it doesn't seem that way for people that have little experience with the archetype

I regularely beat boros burn players at my LGS simply because they make rookie mistakes (for example: immediately slamming a phoenix on the board on turn three when I've clearly left a mana open to deal with it and then casting Magma Spray on it, leaving them flustered)

Sequencing is incredibly important with this deck which is why it's foolish to say well if you just draw enough burn you win. Ehh, no.

Will anyone from DtR be attending GP Utrecht?

I always just streamed with Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey or stuff from the 90s. No complaints ever.
Ellie Goulding's first two records are perfect thanks to the heavy indie pop influences which make them enjoyable for a very broad audience, can't say I enjoy her newer stuff as much

The same goes for Lana Del Rey, even though it's more of a chamber pop influence there (critics did spit her out for a good reason: her lyrics are laughably bad)

You sure as hell can't please everyone, sadly

MDU, what songs did people complain about? They all seemed good to me.
I use too run lots off instrumental and classical pieces (non-vocal) (many of which are foreign) as a result I would get tons of "my ears are bleeding.comments" so I swapped back into hipsters/mainstream vocals songs which drastically reduced the hate mail (I also get some comments from the music artists which is always nice).

P.S. if more people get active with the Youtube Filming scene we can create a circle and try and promote the website further which would be nice .
This is why I have stopped watching your videos

sorry, they are very informative but I can't stand that kind of music :(

I would love to hear some post-rock or something on your channel instead (I can heartily recommend the new Sleepmakeswaves but that would probably anger the cavemen that have been complaining to you so far...)

For me personally, small aggro(red, white, black) are the best matchups but Mono Black is close too.

Games 2 and 3 can sometimes be rough if they get a hand with 2x Duress etc.
As a red aggro player I always felt that the matchup is pretty close

then again I do run Eidolon and Reckoner main so that might make it a little trickier for the burn player

Yet another second place because I hear mulls to 5 (just to get a land) and hands where you stick on 3 lands and draw all four [card]Warleader's Helix[/card] in the finals are good. 5 playmat near misses in a row. FML.

I think at this point the whole Eidolon vs YP$ debate comes down to playstyle. There is no correct answer as to what is the best choice.
I have a question for you guys. Would you take out Eidolon vs. Jund Monsters games 2/3 (if you were to play it MB)? A jund monsters opponent told me I should have kept them in to 'counter' his removal spells (dreadbore and abrupt decay) but I'm still unsure whether he was right.

Everyone likes to argue. The card is not at all consistent. Trying to make an argument by alluding to one of the best cards in the format that primarily features in an archetype that can discard it when it is no longer good, or in an archetype that draws so many cards so as to render a dead card in hand irrelevant is just unconvincing. Yes, the card is brutal many times turn 3 on the play, woopdedo. It feels like every time that some fringe card you like gets the slightest consideration by me, you excitedly throw it back in my face. Good for you, the card is better than I thought but still not as good as you think it is.
I ran Boros Burn for a good three months before BNG came out and I definitely agree with this. Just because some control
players are dumb enough to Sphinx on their own turn and walk right into a Trouble for seven doesn't make the card good. Also, if you want to drop it on turn three you'll probably need 3-4 copies in your sb and the card is a terrible topdeck lategame when control will just be able to keep up counterspell mana forever anyway. More often than not the card would be sitting in my hand being basically a shock for 3 mana which is terrible. I'd rather have something more impactful in the board.

tl;dr the card was more trouble (har har) than it was worth

You cannot beat Hexproof.

Dont dilute the deck for answers for a deck that crushes us regardless!
I meant G/W aggro

My main deck is bad against it

so I wanted to see how burn would fare

There's no point trying to warp your deck to beat decks that make up a marginal part of the meta anyway

All things considered, I think burn might end up being the deck to beat at future events

I hope to see zem somewhere up there in the rankings!

One thing GG has that Cackler doesn't is haste. I think that's a huge difference. I'd rather be playing Ash Zealot in that slot.
Ash Zealot dies to doom blade and ultimate price so that's one thing to consider vs mono B for example

Mono U devotion, G/R devotion and Azorius (had a bye for round 3)

Against mono U I just got extremely unlucky with my draws, against G/R I played poorly (too much burn on creatures, not enough on his face) and Azorius... Honestly that felt unwinnable even with the dragons sided in...

TL;DR this deck is fantastic, I just need to learn to sequence my burn/chandra activations properly.

Also, I'm confident Anger of The Gods is an auto-include in the SB as it turns the white weenie matchup into a bye (basically) and it's getting very popular in my meta. I feel like the dragons are very good, I just need to figure out how to configure my SB as it's very crowded atm.
