Sorry, hammy. I tried to bring James Bond in there for a bit, but lost track of the reason for posting somewhere along the way. This thread has taken a turn for the worse in the last two pages. Where's redthirst when we need him?
Umm...
Return to “[Fedoras of Salvation] - White Knights ITT”
And I'm convinced that you believe deadly force is something that should be used whenever someone shows aggression. I'm also convinced that nothing I say will change your view of that. I've already admitted that it's possible he was justified in using deadly force in this case, as Self Medicated just pointed out again. You're the only one in this argument who is taking a strong stance based on evidence that is at best contradictory.Multiple shots to the chest didn't bring him down (he is running with his head down), eventually one of those bullet is going to crack a skull. I am convinced you have never shot a gun before Star.
Wasn't it the bad guys shooting in that movie?Sounds like the ending of Gran Torino.
Okay, maybe I shouldn't have said "highly", but he for sure would have known a few easy take-downs and pressure points. Certainly would have known how to handle himself well enough against an unarmed teenager who'd just been shot in the leg, for example (this is very likely what would have happened in Canada, by the way). He had time to fire six times. The final bullet went through the kid's forehead. Like... damn. As I said before, maybe it was justified, I don't know the details, but it certainly doesn't sound like a situation that most officers would truly consider "life threatening".Dude was a local cop. They don't get nearly the training.
tl;dr: Don't kill people unless you need to.Tl;dr: Don't rob a store.
Police officers are highly trained in hand-to-hand combat. An unarmed cop against an unarmed teenager will put the cop at minimal risk. None of us know the true details of the incident, so don't pretend that shooting someone six times in the chest is justified just because he hit you. Maybe it was justified and maybe it wasn't - I suspect that's why he got off, because they couldn't prove anything - but to say that it's justified every time a cop kills a bad guy is just wrong.Or you could teach your white kids to not rob a store, punch a police officer in the face, run away, and then get mad when they get blasted. All he had to do was follow the rules, and listen to the officer. If he did nothing wrong, nothing would of happened.
Let me punch you in the face multiple times, and then you can decide if it worth killing me in order to save your life.
I've only ever played Alchemy and Prosperity. Prosperity is fun, lots of high value cards and lots of money to go with it. Alchemy is broken and bad. There are a couple good cards in there, but any time we've played with more than 2 Alchemy cards, the game sucked. I would not recommend it.A coincidence. I just bought Dominion last night to play with the siblings. I bought the core pack, so where should I go from there?
Carcassonne is a shorter one, easy and lots of fun. Get the Inns and Cathedrals expansion too. Let's you play with 6 (base game is 5) and feels like it should have been included in the original set anyway.I'm interested in buying a few more multiplayer games. My girl's coworkers have a family dinner every Sunday that we go to. We drink and usually play Cards Against Humanity, but there's only so many times we can do that before it gets stale.
One of them plays Magic, but the rest have no desire to learn.
I suggested Werewolf, which is played much like mafia here on the forum.
Ideal game time is 45 minutes to an hour. We typically have 4-6 people.
Yeah, and specifically when they show up. There's nothing worse than having bad turns when there's a card you want and finally you get a good turn, but nothing to buy. It's like compounding the luck factor.I've played the app version, never the the real thing. It's ok, but far too tactical. It's very hard to form a strategy beforehand and then build a deck towards that. Too dependent on what cards show up in the middle row.
She was in Alberta all of July and into August, so we had sex a couple times when we got back together. Standard enough, I guess. The rest went something like...How did that come about? Whose idea? New sex explorations?
No, they'll be in solution. You'll have to get the 5% to react with something if you want to get pure copper (no idea what else is in there (maybe zinc or tin?), but that shouldn't be too hard since copper is relatively unreactive). Copper wiring is over 99% pure (often 99.99% pure according to the interwebs), so you won't be getting full price without refinement. It's 95% copper. That's gotta be close enough. Else when you melt it down they should just separate like oil and water, right?
