Idea’s obvious, but imagine a land/land/Spike/Probe/Wraith/Manamorphose/Cruise hand vs unknown deck. Would you keep it? Yes, I think so. I'll play the deck this Thursday and see if it has any merit. Of course we have enough spells to avoid the cantrip thing, but with the cantrips, our deck is liter...

I don't like much Brain Maggot. I play it a lot and always feel that it's so fragile and in last analyse it's one for one, because they will receive the card back. Spent all second turn making it happen it's a tempo loss... I agree that he's fragile and hasn't really had a place in MBA, but with 14...

Hall of Triumph won't protect your 2/1s from Drown in Sorrow. I still like it, just not for that reason. Has anyone thought about running Radiant Fountain to help offset life loss and win some races? It's certainly better than basic swamp in some cases. Very nice idea, esp. with Rabble Red everywhe...
That may act as an alternative to Goblin Guide, but I doubt it. Testing required. Seems like a nice complement to Goblin Guide. Unless you have an awkward creature draw (which probably puts you in a fine position post-board if they've adjust their removal suite to account for your surplus of spells...

Post board you have: 4 shocks 2 magma jet 2 magma spray 4 lightning strike 4 searing bloods Putting creatures into play is very risky from the burn side. So post-board it's a mirror match with one deck on 5 one-drops, 4 Rabblemaster, and 2 Purphoros and the other on 4 Chained to the Rocks, 2 lands,...

If you have YP$ out, they have to +1; if you have Eidolon out, they have a choice. Remember that planeswalkers are good because they are flexible. Jace +1 makes all of our dudes into 1-power creatures, so there's no difference between AZ, YP$, EotGR when facing a Jace +1. The difference is that YP$ ...

I'm not sure you can say that Fortify is better, but it's certainly a consideration to be made if you're in the market for that kind of effect. The reason I say it's not better is that it has W in it's mana cost, which you may not have in time, and it doesn't have the (1): shock mode. This aggressiv...
