How did Lee Morino cast the counterspells from his sideboard is what I want to know. His actual sideboard was this: [deck] 2 Erase 4 Hushwing Gryff 3 Searing Blood 4 Firedrinker Satyr 1 Ride Down 1 Arc Lightning [/deck] [deck] 4 Goblin Rabblemaster 4 Monastery Swiftspear 4 Seeker of the Way 3 Storm...

States results matter, when I'll be playing the list at SCG States this weekend, lol. Satyr Firedancer , do I maindeck this mean son of a bitch, or not? At the $5k I ran 3 mainboard in the Jeskai deck I was playing, and it did pretty well. Basically, it's just another way to add value to every burn ...

Ashcloud Phoenix is fucking sick, and I've been waiting for a list where I'd run 2-4 in the main. This is also one of my spec cards, with 16 copies owned. 4 CttR seems reasonable, given that we don't really have any other 1-mana plays besides Swifty. I really really don't like Sarkhan in this. Defl...

You guys are high. Sarkhan is great I personally don't see what's so great about him. Almost every time I've cast him, in any of my decks, it just felt kind of shitty. At the same time, he costs like a bazillion dollars, so much so that I've been considering just selling both of mine. +1 - Stormbre...

Not really feeling the Sarkhans either, at least not for game one. 4 CttR sounds decent. It's cool, being able to Chain a guy on turn 3, and trigger prowess on one of your little guys, while also having 2 mana up to burn a creature out on their turn. Edit: Never thought I'd actually miss Shock :no2:

just wanna chime in and say that any fringe control deck with white colored lands is pretty much required to run one or two Resolute Archangel in their 75 to have any chance against post-board jeskai burn lists. Ram just doesn't get the job done. (Hushwing gryph is pretty good) Except this list giv...

I'd be thinking of maindecking Magma Spray but I'm not too sure. -1 Purphoros, -3 Ashcloud, +4 Magma Spray. Then maybe move Ashcloud in the sideboard. I'll try to figure something out once I manage to get some time. Just main board Circle of Flame . Sure, it will be somewhat dead in some matchups, ...

I've been playing around with the list on MTGO because it was so cheap for me. I'm not sold on it yet. Some games feel unfair and unlosable, but I also have games where I just flood, or draw a creature entirely too late (no repeatable damage source). The fact that there is no hasty flier in R/W is ...

I tested the R/W list, and posted my own list in the R/W aggro thread. It does really good against Jeskai Burn, mostly due to the lands and the mainboard Deflecting Palm's. Less self inflicted damage, and less lands coming in tapped. Even on the draw, the R/W list just takes control of the matchup d...

Niche in a meta dominated by big green creatures and rabblemasters??? Plus game 1 no one will play around it, giving you huge blowout potential. People think it is in the board. It is bare minimum Do 3 dmg to target player, gain 3 life. It can easily be 4 or 5 damage. I personally agree. You'd be i...

Just remembered that Favored Hoplite is still a thing. Replacing Rabblemaster's with the Hoplite, since it's more in-line with the plan. Hoplite also increases the possibility of a turn 3 kill.

Been screwing around with the deck today. Seems to be in need of one more red source. May remove a Plains for a Mountain, or add a Mana Confluence or something.
Think I'm going to take this to FNM this week in secrecy. Just need to figure out how the sideboard is supposed to work.

[SCD] Archetype of Aggression
http://www.magicspoiler.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Archetype-of-Aggression-Born-of-the-Gods-Spoiler.jpg Is this card as nuts as I think it is? Anything particularly good in the mirror? Being on the play. Searing Blood , Lightning Strike . Anything that lets you kill one of their creatures at instant speed while being behind 1 land. Ride down is insane. Rune 3 mainboard and never look back folks. What happens when you are behind, and have 2 of these in your hand? Not to mention, as soon as someone realizes that you are playing it, they probably won't be blocking any more Rabble tokens with their Polukranos. I much prefer Suspe...

You also have 16 pump spells in a 10 creature deck and that simply cannot be right. It's fine, I'm sure my opponent will eventually be kind enough to play their own win condition. In line with kait's thought of dropping the 5 drops one could run flame-wreathed phoenix . 4 mana gets you either a 5/5 flyer (harder to deal with than ashcloud though it usually means the opponent has a way to deal with it giving you potential insight into the cards they have), or a 3/3 flyer with...

It's possible that the Junk deck I played against was bad, but I didn't have any issue with it a few days ago.
