How many points do you have, MDU? I will play in the finals as you requested two weeks ago.

I think I have enough for enter in the finals + 2 practice runs (if you win a practice run you get another 35 point (which is a spot in the finals or another 2 practice runs) for even more practice runs )

Interested in a practice run BlakLanner? (note I don't have any legacy cards so you might need two computer to trade back and forth (or I could be able to borrow a list if you can list the cards you need)).

Since I was practicing for MOCS1 (standard) I now have a stupid amount of QPs, so if anyone whats to practice Legacy in a highly competitive environment (MOCS: Prelims) let me know the dates are:

The format is Legacy (its MOCS level so we shouldn't see so many T1 kill decks (hopefully)) I'm much too traumatized too play Legacy anymore so if your up for it and you do win we can split the prize

I played my first DE today (on v4 aka Beta):

G1: TES/Belcher M: T1 kill both rounds...
G2: Storm M1: T1 kill game 1 (warrens), M2: he durdles and I win, M3: T1 Kill

Drop.

I decided that not playing something without counters or T1 kill capabilities isn't the best bet during my timezone.

I've notice that the Legacy queues don't fire very often

Is that because 2-Man give you 1 VM booster while you'll need win TWO games in queues to get anything? (2-Man fire quite a bit obv.)

Time for my Legacy report:

I've played two 2-Man and lost both of them in grueling T1 fashion vs Belcher twice (same person) losing lots of rating (which won't matter after DT and 8 tickets (rather painful))

I'm gonna stop with 2-Man since I think you'll just have some MU's where you simply can't win, I'll just stick with DE until I get use too the format.

Gah I queued for a 2-Man again (on the beta this time) only to face the same Belcher player
again def. gonna wait until tomorrow so that I can try some DE's (I knew I would do poorly but not this bad, consistence T1 kills arn't very fun on the opp. end - makes me wish I have 4x MindBreak trap). I'm glad I borrowed the cards rather then brought them - I don't think I can enjoy a format where you consistently need a counter-spell just to stack the odds in your favor.

Just throw Burn spells at the face. It sounds primitive, but more often than not, it's going to be the way to go.

I'll be going in blind into the legacy format tomorrow (if it fire, its unlikely because tomorrow is down time) can you guys list "telling" cards of each archetype which I may see in the first 3 turns? For example I know this is Miracles because I see T1 Brainstorm or Sensei's Divining Top or if I see Gaea's Cradle its clearly an Elf deck.

Anything well help, since I expect to lose a fair bit in these first few days by misplaying against archetypes.

I'm not sure if I understand the ruling here but doesn't Emrakul the Aeons Torn dance all over Ashen Rider or can you target it?

Also doesn't Searing Blood/Blaze seem bad in Legacy? Some list are running 6-8 MD

A few questions:

1) How often does a T1 kill occur? How do you stop it?

2) Why do some burn decks online have Ashen Rider in the sideboard?

3) Relic of Progenitus vs Leyline of the Void?

4) Skullcrack or no Skullcrack MD/SB?

5) NO fetchlands ?

Anyone grinding Legacy burn online (do they even fire)?

How is burn faring for you guys, is burn easier to play in legacy then it is in Modern?

Lazer you need too keep in mind that the meta shown on Goldfish is the DE meta game, if your just farming 2-Mans expect the unexpected (aka the lower tier).

I think Chain's was dirt cheap (I have them in my Pauper deck) guide's are expensive but I have them in my modern deck so the main cost will be the fetch lands (which don't prick you) and getting beating 10-1000's times before I learn the meta.

Lucky for me this forum is filled with tech savvy people, so I'll just wait till you guys upload more videos before I give Leg. a shot.

@Purp, Blak and Spawn: If your a Pauper, Standard and Modern burn player would getting into Leg. burn be difficult?
