The year is 1692 and the harvest is nearly complete. With not quite the expected bounty, there may not be enough food for the coming winter. Some people had entire sections of farm die to a blight. Tensions rose as the threat of famine loomed, but it wasn't just the food. Strange things were happening in the town, things that couldn't be explained. There was a hushed suspicion of the darkest powers grasping, clawing and raking at the heart of Ipswich. The tipping point came when Jebediah Ezekiel Smith, an extraordinarily healthy and prosperous farmer, was found dead in his home. There wasn't a mark on him. He simply lie there, eyes open and face contorted in a silent shriek of pain.

The town gathered itself together in the church, sure of what had befallen their loved neighbor Jebediah. Witchcraft was afoot. Eyes darted around the room, accusing and judging one another. Among this gathering of peace loving people was a cabal of witches. No one knew who, how many, or even what they wanted. Everyone was sure, however, that no one could be trusted.

Welcome to Ipswich Mafia! This is a game for 9 players and it will be fairly heavy on the flavor. Be warned, this is not a normal game of Mafia! This game will operate on a strict deadline cycle of 7-day Days and 48-hour nights. Please plan to be active. If certain conditions are met, additional powers may be given to players or new rules may be enacted.

Hello! I reviewed this setup, so all your hatred can be partially directed at me following the game. I think it should be fun, with a couple interesting things that I've never seen in a game before, but it's definitely a bit different than what we normally see on this site. Good luck!
