Not me. I'm doing it for the D.And we have at least one thing in common: the love for this game.
The name sounds familiar.I assume they're a band that I can put my fucking hands up in the air too while I make some fucking noise, yes?@Khaospawn, have you heard the band Black Tide (you must have...they're from Florida, and musically should be right up your alley...)?

That's so hot.Not me. I'm doing it for the D.And we have at least one thing in common: the love for this game.
Whoa, that was exactly my first thought. Weird.Yeah, and Spiderman is full of shame......
And now that I've listened to their later stuff, it doesn't compare favourably to that debut. But that record (Light From Above) is great at least. Playing right now: "Hit The Lights" cover...I bought their debut record when it was released, because I was very impressed with the kids. Listened to it a lot, but then forgot about it. Rediscovered them today.
Why are there Magic cards in your pockets?I just found out Master of Waves is not machine-washable.
Is that a Rod of Ruin in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Why are there Magic cards in your pockets?I just found out Master of Waves is not machine-washable.
Yes, brother Khaos, it is! There are a whole series of these--Spidey, the Avengers, Doom and so on. You can likely Google them up, or drop me an email addy and I'll send them to you. They are just flat badass...Photo, is....is that a Venom-Stormtrooper in your avatar?
I was wearing a button up with a front pocket. In true nerd fashion, I stuck the toploader with the card in it into the pocket. I got drunk that night and forgot about it. So when I gathered up all my dirty laundry a few days later, it was still in the shirt. Also in the shirt was an extra Lightning Helix I picked up.Why are there Magic cards in your pockets?I just found out Master of Waves is not machine-washable.
Yes, I'm happy to see you. Though, it's not a Rod of Ruin in my pocket. Is that a Rod of Ruin in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Why are there Magic cards in your pockets?I just found out Master of Waves is not machine-washable.
The sig or the avatar? The sig is all props to nbw...His graphics skills and design intuition are mind-blowing. The avatar is part of a series...I found them a while back thinking they would be awesome to use but forgot about them until I was browsing my graphics cache the other day.
And yes, Photo's sig is just next leveling me.
What is this that I feel?
I don't know, but I'm not worthy.
I here for the D....ocLawless. Happy Birthday to that sexy man-beast.Happy Bday Doc.
TBuzz, don't let anyone tell you different - they're all here for the D.
Nailed it.Forgive a furriner...but D = Dough?
My bad luck streak continues with some more exceptionally bad luck. I'm trying really hard to take your advice to heart, but I don't know how to not tilt when I have such outrageously bad luck for extended periods of time. I am very close to rage quitting. Slumps like this suck all enjoyment out of the game. It just feelsI wanted to tell you something, but I forgot JS. I think you have tremendous potential as a player, but what holds you back is your psyche. You've come so far as a technical player and deckbuilder in the last 18 months, but to reach that next level, you need to grow as a person as well. Mastery takes commitment to two ideals:
1. hard work, dedication, sacrifice, practice, learning - whatever you want to call it. You need to give yourself fully to the task and always be learning, always have an open mind and always seek out challenges. Make the most of every opportunity and embrace the grind.
You've come to far with no. 1; further that anyone else here easily.
2. detachment from results. You need to understand that it doesn't matter on any given day what
your results are; we have bad days, we get unlucky, we make mistakes. We're perfect in our imperfection. The only true failing is in failing to learn. Don't get too caught up in success; it is fleeting. Don't become despondent with bad luck; it too will pass. All you can do is look at what happened, look for opportunities for growth and continue on your journey. It doesn't matter what happens in any one day, only that you're on the path to improvement over time. I didn't dub you figure of destiny for nothing; even the greatest hero begins as a lowly 1/1 do nothing.
Understanding that growth takes time, both as a player and as a person, is your next challenge.
Awesome.I love the D, but I'm not getting any from Magic...
Summed up more succinctly as "Do, or do not. There is no try." There is power in the act of doing, even if you fail at"There is no genius other than one which is expressed in the works of art; the genius of Proust is the sum of Proust's works; the genius of Racine is his series of tragedies. Outside of that, there is nothing. Why say that Racine could have written another tragedy, when he didn't write it? A man is involved in life, leaves his impress on it, and outside of that, there is nothing ... it prompts people to understand that reality alone is what counts, that dreams, expectations and hopes warrant no more than to define a man as a disappointed dream, as miscarried hopes, as vain expectations." - John Paul Sartre
