You should commit to a game plan, IMO. There isn't much ramping to consider except for from 3 to 5 in the form of a keyrune, but that doesn't mean you want to downsize your deck.
Specifically, I think Rakdos Cackler's an absolute no-go, Ash Zealot's a contender, but likely still too small. Mizzium Mortars is the premier sweeper, IMO, because it can kill a lot of Selesnya fatties, and won't wipe your board as well if you do decide to play bears. 4 Slagstorms is too many main board unless you expect BTE decks to be around preying on the 8-12 scryland decks. The idea's solid, but the execution's not quite there. I think midrange demands you to enter a second color. Red spells aren't powerful enough to take over games, but combined with literally any other color, you can shore up some of the weaknesses of red.
