Ah, the good ol' Saturday morning glut of catching up. Thing I'll bomb-post this time, I like to expand my horizons from time to time.
Da da da da da da,
something that rhymes with asshole.
Da da da da da da,
Scralty, sometimes you're an asshole.
'Sup, Slammy?
Of course there's no way we could get away with calling Ben a lapdog. It is rather heartening to watch as Sene grows more and more angry at the staggering levels of delusion they're all pretending isn't a driving force of their forum, though. #silverlinings

Back when I was working overnights at the gas station, we had the hiring kiosk. It was a rarity to have such a thing at the time, but still intuitive enough to have most of the features that have become common nowadays. The thing asked you about 30 questions, but in reality only 3 of them mattered; the point was mostly to waste your time and lull you into a false sense of security.
The first and last of the "red flag" questions were pretty easy to work around. You just had to make sure you didn't answer "I would not help the customer with the problem" and "I would allow the customer to steal the item" respectively. But the one that tripped people up most often was Question #16: "Have you ever stolen anything?" You had to make sure to answer "Yes." It sounds farfetched, but you see, the point of the question wasn't to gauge the likelihood that you would steal from the
company, but rather to gauge the perception of self of the applicant; by the time you are 18 (and therefore able to work for the company), the likelihood that you have stolen something, be it a couple of dollars from your mom's purse or a Ferrari, sit at about 100%. Thus to answer 'No' to that question is to prove you are simply not very good at introspection, or revealing the truth, or are delusional... admitting to a faceless kiosk that you are imperfect was the biggest, and worst, problem facing our company's future employees.
The heart and soul of moral corruption is silence in response to tyranny, instead of being morally corrupt.

The ideal of a name, and the self-mythology we craft through our names, has always been a fascinating subject to me. Especially now that the internet gives us a place where we can, in fact must, place a name on ourselves rather than being given one, the cycle goes so much deeper. If, for instance, you look at the way I use Ben in place of ER or lapdog, there's reasons for that; lapdog as insult is just a running gag now with no real significance; the idea of calling him an Expired Rascal is something I find myself morally opposed to doing, it physically turns my stomach to compare him to the base term because he abuses the name, rapes it and tries to make it what is, in essence, the exact friggin' opposite of what the term is [i:3cvnl241]supposed[/i:3cvnl241] to mean; thus I have no real choice except to call him by his real name, drag him into the sunlight like that.
