Today was a busy day here at the artwork subforums due to a couple of trolley users who made me spend the short time available I had today in taking care of their bussiness.
Contests will be up tomorrow (July 2nd.)

Great staff attitude towards users. Thankfully I wasn't called a terrorist or a mafia member.

When I was on staff, issuing two cards and locking a thread took less than five minutes, but who knows, maybe there is more associated paperwork these days

Access Masks

There has been some attention recently surrounding the use of "Access Masks", which is a tool that essentially hides a subforum from a user, and after a discussion, we've decided to clarify the use of these.

Access Masks will be utilized when a user is determined to be particularly problematic within one specific subforum, and that issuing warnings and infractions is unlikely to help. Moving forward, the user will receive a heads-up prior to the mask in order to have the opportunity to fix the perceived issues.

When an Access Mask is put into place, we will announcing it in this thread.

Access Masks may have a set length, or they could be indefinite — in other words, until the staff decides to reverse it.

Users who have been masked out can discuss it with the staff in the Ban/Suspension Appeal forum.

Nobody is announced in the thread.

This is actual internet insanity. For people who get trolled and flamed so much, they still don't get know what either means. This is really sad considering they have entire threads about teaching staff about trolling (LOL). Calling someone dishonest does not require justification and not justifying it does not make it a flame (and obviously not a troll). Once again they are determining what somebodies opinion should be (that parinoid is honest) and punishing them for not having it.

There is nothing in the MTGS doctrine that says you must justify why you have an opinion, especially in CI. Opinions are funny things.

I admit that I like that they are stepping out into the open though, taking off the Azrael gloves and saying, "Yes, this is what we are. We are openly anti-DTR, we are indefinitely banning certain users from CI and issuing infractions that go against our own rule system." It's a power play, and I respect that.

I just wish they would finish the job and reissue the bans. You don't half do something. If you are to set a precedent, you should finalize it. They've refused to let their moderators have fun with us here, banned people for being Scumbag gimmicks when they are not, cut off CI access despite non-Gutter thread OP's saying the users were helping the discussion, and issued late bias punishments (on that front, where are Xenphire's infractions or warnings to his modhood for his off-topic baiting about this website? -- HINT: baiting is trolling, not calling someone dishonest).
