Dropped of some thoughts from my FNM and what to play at the Game Day tomorrow in the brewery. Didn't feel like using the competitive forum for my silly homebrews...

True-Name 10$ on SCG. Now it's a bit of gamble. Hoping polish stores will be as dumb as they used to be.

My Puphoros EDH deck could not want Tempt with Vengeance more.

Also, the 8 3-drop version of the deck ran well even though it still felt gross.

^ I imagine its one of those decks where if you have a play on 2 you're like "this deck is perfect, I am SO CLEVER", but if you don't you're all "WHY ARENT I PLAYING MORE TWOS?!"

I'm considering a 3/3 split of Reckoner and Phoenix to free up space for some YP$ or Frostburn Weird.

Currently 1-0 (2-0) at a 60 player FNM. Beat BW Midrange, Game 1 because he stumbled on mana and 1 had a double one drop hand into burn that got there. Game 2 I had turn 5 assemble the legion.

Tap mountain, extend hand.

But seriously, I'd play BW midrange at any big event. I want that deck inside me.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Yeah I must say, its a deck I can see myself playing as well. I would change the sideboard of Rietzl's list (I think that was the biggest problem with the deck), but overall, list is very, very good.

We actually do have car-selling family business. In theory I could have access to lots of cars... still, I hate cars. I hate driving them. My father hates me for that, as it makes me nearly a black sheep - especially since unlike my brother, I'm actually a pretty damn good driver even with another car on the hook.
He keeps forgeting that when I was 8 he came from his job (ex-firefighter) and showed me photos of various crashes and accidents. Lots of dead people and blood. And then he said "if you'll not drive carefully - you might end up like this".

And now he's like "goddamnit, why you don't like driving cars".

4-1 with PyRos at 21 player FNM. Only loss was 2-1 to monoblue. Fullish report later, game day in 11 hours. Best of luck to everyone at FNM!

So pretending I had the money, what's the thought on this mix
[Deck]

4 soldier of the pantheon
4 experiment one
4 dryad militant
4 fleecemane lion
4 voice of resurgence
4 boon satyr
4 loxodon smiter
2 deadbridge goliath

4 selesnya charm
4 advent of the wurm

4 temple garden
4 selesnya guildgate
6 plains
8 forest
[/deck]
The sideboard is in flux, but the general idea is fast aggro, nothing fancy, just bury them in card quality. I am unsure about militant, but I want a bunch of one drops and I am not sure what replaces her.

You do need to try to gay it up a little more.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

I'm so screwed at game day, cause all but 1 of my phoenixes, and my chanda are in the mail. Not to mention msot of my sideboard (peak eruptions and skullcracks...)

I'm having to cobble together a reasonable list, though it leaves me slightly slower then i'd like, and also a weird sideboard... I have no skullcracks, which is a huge issue, might have to try and get some before it starts.

Inb4 Z on why GW agro is a terrible archetype.

Also, 3-1 at FNM tonight with buddy's esper control. 1 loss was to my friend playing my Pyro Red deck. G2, burning earth into burning earth was brutal.
Game one, he curved cackler, zealot, phoenix, Chandra. It's simultaneously awesome and terrible losing to your own deck.

Here's a thought:

[deck]PyroRed Sligh 2.0[/deck]

Built to beat all these Black midrange/control decks that are infesting MODO. You're certainly giving up a lot in the mirror though ~ I think you'd be lucky to get more than 50% against anyone with Reckoners.

If I want to do game day tomorrow, I'm thinking I need to acquire 3 more Temples of Triumph and a playset of Chained to the Rocks. I've got everything else for PyRos (<---- needs a better name). My mind loves the idea. My wallet not so much.

Edit: fixed spelling error caused by the iPad's touchscreen keyboard. XD

It took me awhile to get used to it too. But like I keep saying, Reckoner and Phoenix are too good right now to not maindeck, y'know?

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
