Of course the thread wasn't getting anywhere, nothing on that site does, other than (perhaps ironically) the casual section. I wanted to jump in, but I'd rather not get banned and i've picked up a few infraction lately.

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

Those infractions and warnings are worn as badges of honor around here.Of course the thread wasn't getting anywhere, nothing on that site does, other than (perhaps ironically) the casual section. I wanted to jump in, but I'd rather not get banned and i've picked up a few infraction lately.

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

Beats me. It's not like I go picking fights with random fucktards. Most of the time they just happen to derp their way into my life with their ridiculous posts full of hypocrisy, blatant lies, and faulty logic.

redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...

I plan on splashing a second color into Zem's YP$ build for no good reason other than funsies! The net change is +/-7 or 8 cards (Dreadbore, Exava) and different sideboard angles, like Rakdos' Return for a fireball and dark betrayal as h8 in exchange for sometimes-dubious mana and no mutavaults.
Expecting to crush all the monoB/U and G/R devotion builds. The build is a little soft to some esper hands, but no one at our LGS wants to spend Friday night behind a high-stamina deck.
Thanks for the marching band nostalgia, man. I can tell that the kids have been out been practicing formation for ages (it's hard stuff!).
I doodled some Bastion line art, which makes me want try some card alters. I think I'll do 1/1 Squirts, Scumbag bears tokens and repaint Hammer of P into The Kid & his hammer.

Great article & props on the feature, BTW. We already knew Zem is a fire god.
I really appreciate the author's pause to say:
can vary along the skill curve. We quickly learned that Thoughtseize is the most skill-intensive magic card I've used yet, for example. Until I started playing it, I wasn't thinking about the flow of magic on more than a turn-by-turn clock basis. It's amazing what kind of influence you can have on the game with perfect information, perfect ability to play your oppoent's deck odds in addition to your own.
I really appreciate the author's pause to say:
When I read the MGTS posts linked here, at least one person falls into this trap without fail. Card evaluation in a shell and against other decksBasically, red decks reward playing the deck and playing the opponent very well. Combo decks reward playing the actual deck optimally, and control leans more on playing opponents correctly. Since red is typically playing so many individual underpowered cards, they need to make the most of each draw step. Most importantly, though is that you aren’t playing perfect Magic, so stop worrying about what deck has the highest skill cap attached. If you’re Dave Price or Patrick Sullivan, you can talk about that, but for the ninety-nine percent of you, worry more about playing a simple deck perfectly.

If the mana is good enough, Tymaret is kinda fucking gross actually. Murks 1-for-1 removal decks.
RE: skill levels (any archetype) what always blows people's minds is when they make a great play and I tell them "saw that line two turns ago" or when I cold call their hand; being the beatdown isn't about maximising the damage you can do in any single turn, it's about winning the fucking game.
Aggro is about resource management. A shock is only ever 2 upstairs and frankly that's terrible. When you know enough to get more than 2 damage out of it, then you're getting the idea.
When it's:
R
"Deal 2 damage to target opponent. Search your graveyard for any number of Chandra's Phoenix and put them into your hand. Tap target Desecration Demon, swing with your team for lethal"
You're doing it right.
Playing red aggro is not dissimilar to playing combo; with the added burden of not just having
to assemble the combo, but having to play it correctly.
