Another new feature is the furthering of IV transfer. Previously, when the parent Pokémon had power items attached, it guaranteed the transfer of one of the IVs, while several IVs were guaranteed to pass down. However, as of X & Y, if you have one of the parents hold the Destiny Knot item, then 5 IVs total from either parent will be guaranteed to be transferred.

so does this mean if one parent has power __ and the other has destiny knot there's a 50/50 chance of getting a pokemon with 100% perfect IVs assuming one has 5 IVs you want and the other has the 6th?

i mean breeding is now officially almost impossible to fuck up and super training makes it so you just have to do dumb minigames instead of equipping 16 items and fighting litwick for two hours at a time. they went out of their way to make this version easy to pick up play and do normally complex things in from what it appears.Now that I know about it, I have to actively try to not min max. Because if I fall into my old ways I will spend days upon days breeding and breeding and hatching eggs and fucking fighting only litwicks or some shit.
