But, it really looks like I am no longer welcome here so that's fine. Sorry we couldn't keep this going because I thought we were getting somewhere.
And if I kiss you in the Gutter, in the moonlight,
will you pardon me?
And tiptoe through the tulips with me?

I didn't blame the gutter. My point is that unbanning will rock some boats and there haven't been many boats rocked lately. I like the calm since it lets us focus on other things like .... Well. All the relatively big things we have changed lately and the stuff we are still working on. Having your sr staff focusing on all the things you just listed (holy shit!) means that all that energy was not put into doing other stuff.

That list does create a visual that puts things into perspective....ugh

I was wondering Gals, how does it feel like working with the senior staff knowing that one of them is lying when the question was asked "was it you" and they said no.

Meh, the life of a mod is pretty boring but it isn't so boring that they run around asking pointless questions. I was, for a time, kind of hoping that we'd get a situation like at the end of Spartacus where everyone just admits to being the mole, but alas and alack, that did not happen.

August - Hey, you guys are cool please keep this secret for us.

Such horseshit.

Every once in a while, not often but from time to time mind you, I ponder, or more accurately meditate, on my own actions of that long-ago time when all the troubles began. Unlike everyone else, I knew what was going through my head: a combination of depression, chaos, and an almost inexplicable feeling of lightness that I would only later recognize from my past. I don't deny that I did, for a time, ride high on the false euphoria that comes
with martyring oneself, but that was quickly displaced as I watched, and in fact heard, as people began to concoct their own explanations as to what, exactly, the fuck I was doing. Truth be told, for some time beforehand, I had known that I was simply not cut out for the type of moderation MTGS wanted... I abhorred a culture that honored its workers with self-made accolades instead of asking them to earn them like regular folk. I was salt, more fit to embellishing simple meals, and MTGS enjoyed a heartier stew, so to speak.

Obviously, after what happened later, I cannot say with a straight face that I was sorry to leave my position, though I do regret the effect it seemed to have on others who had, until that point, viewed me as a stable and likeable fellow not prone to rage or even anger; I never blamed them, of course, as they had never gained the chance to know me aside from my constant ramblings about how to get laid within the confines of the GRRR. Though I knew that eventually it must happen for
me to show them that I was not always so complacent as they thought, I had hoped that it wouldn't come with such a maleficent quickness, nor that I would be forced to use it in my sadness as little more than an immolation against what I recognized as tyranny; I suppose, though, that if they'd have given me a tank to stand in front of I would have done so. Still, this too, I allowed to move beyond the space of my inner thoughts.

Instead, in these times of quiet contemplation when I manage to forgo the sweet caress of that holiest nectar known as vodka, I turn my attention to the seeming butterfly effect what little I had to offer laid at the feet of those I called my friends, for a while. It seemed odd to me, fuck still does, that such sins could be more than something to be reviled and dismissed with a whisper of forgiveness, and where I used to tout with some meager sort of pride the blunt trauma of the hammer of pure thought I instead took up the long spear of the heart, and with it I lost all
sense of my connection to that poor soul known as Misclick. It became a slave name to me, nothing but a faceless thing, and with all the thunder I could muster I said goodbye to him, and to all I had known in one shockingly tl;dr within the confines of the echoing hall of pain known as the Pegging Chamber, though I never derived satisfaction from such a fitting name. Even that, EVEN THAT carried with it a change in the breezes that would blow a pile of dust and secrets such as myself to another shore entirely... for it was in that Viking's ship set adrift and set aflame that I first heard the drip drip drip of what would, inevitably, become a crash of rhinos in my head. It was never so much the leak that drove me mad as the implication that, had I but had a bit more stamina, I could have carried that hate with me, grabbed it as one might grab a common fishing net, and drag it with me as I rocketed earthward and thus leave the heavens above as pristine and pure as they deserved to be. I longed, now
gone though mind you, to see that, even as I felt the sweet virgin earth against my chest, my face, even as I lay dying.

And that, I truly regret, I guess.

Forgive an old man's chance to play.

KarlovQueen has received a one-week suspension for posting an exceedingly offensive, inappropriate and arguably racist post.

Dear MTGS Administrator ExpiredRascals:

With all due respect, the following infraction is nothing but a crock:
Infraction PM
Dear Gaea's Regent,

You have received a infraction.

Reason: Trolling and Spam
-------
Your post was designed to be a jab and provocation instead of contributing to the topic. This makes it both trolling and spam, neither of which is okay in Community Issues. Please refrain from non-constructive posts of this nature in the future.
Normal Offenses
The list below is not intended to be all-inclusive of the offenses that may cause warnings or infractions; the MTGSalvation staff reserves the right to issue warnings and infractions for offenses not listed.
  • Spam
    A spam
post is any post that does not contribute an original thought, advance the discussion, or add on-topic content to a thread. Examples of spam posts include, but are not limited to: bumping a thread (other than a haves/wants trading list), discussing a topic that is not relevant to the thread it's posted in, and posting excessively short messages such as "thanks", "k", "QFT", "Oh god no", etc.
  • Flaming and Trolling
Flaming is a hostile verbal attack directed at another person or group of people. Trolling is the act of deliberately provoking a hostile reaction from other users. These actions will not be tolerated.
-------

Original Post:
QR_BBPOST
In my opinion, a ridiculously long quote with only a tiny response should be considered spam just for readability's sake. I can see why
someone would want to quote a giant thing if you want to reply to the entirety of it in detail, but when all you're doing is adding a single thought, I think it gets a bit silly.

It doesn't really warrant warning/infraction as such, though, at least in WCT (though readability is still enforced), but it's still something that's frowned upon. I'm not sure how common a thing it is in other subforums, though.
Cool. New reasons to hand infractions. :V
In addition to coaching or guidance by the acting staff member, please review the Forum Rules in order to better understand why you received this infraction and to help forestall such actions in the future.

If you believe that you received this infraction in error, please contact the acting
staff member on their help desk, found in the Community Issues forum. If you believe this issue goes above their jurisdiction, please contact a Global Moderator or Administrator via the PM system.

All the best,
MTG Salvation Forums
The fact that it came 18 hours after another admin posted in that thread goes without saying. My guess is that the summit lasted that long. Criticism comes in many forms, and my post was not "designed to be a jab and provocation", but it was criticizing the absurdity of considering turning things into "spam" (in other words, an infractable offense) only for "readability's sake".

It is only funny that you people despise the epithet of "morally corrupt", yet you have once again proven that criticism will not be tolerated and that it will be censored with the full weight of the law MTGS' Rulez. I am sure that Teia Rabishu'
s reaction to my post was just the usual rage in the (GR)RRRR thread and that such reaction was factored into this decision. That moderator and yourself have, in my opinion, serious issues with accepting criticism, and my recommendation is that you work on those issues, for your own personal betterment.

Overturning this illegitimate infraction is up to you and your ever-summiting Staff, so please consider this post an "appeal" if you will, for I do not.

Kind Regards.

Gaea's Regent.
Hahahahaha! Way to censor criticism Ben. Go sit on Teia's dick dude...

I made these posts in the open forums because I remember how they loved to run to the Gutter and see what was posted there after something like that was posted in the main forums to see what was being said, and I wanted them to have the opportunity, 'cause I'm a good guy like that.

You are welcome, guests.
