Looking into the Fires of Salvation. Uncovered seeds of rebellion dating back as far as April. Lack of order and complete disregard for posting restrictions convinces me that these hot heads will not trample on the freedoms of the userbase if they do manage to seize power. Unsure of how far their will can carry them. May need push to initiate internet genocide. Set TubeHunter to task of stoking the coals of these "red bros". Time to see if the moderators here die to removal...

Lots of mead. Then, in between rounds, drunkenly piss on an expensive European car. After tournament, proceed directly to nearest strip club. Snort copious amounts of blow off a strippers bare ass.

Once home, light a candle in your shrine that you've made to redthirst's crank. Say the Pyromaster's Prayer. Proceed to fuck the ever loving shit out of the stripper you brought home.

Then, and only then, may you post about it the following day in this thread.

so my LGS is having a $5 buy-in Modern tourney on Sunday the 24th. I'm wondering what to take. I have a legacy Merfolk deck that I could port over into Modern. And I have all the tools to make it into that U/b Merfolk list that Alex posted a while back.

Quick question on that, though - how good is Cryptic Command? I know in a vacuum how powerful the card is, but is it a bit too slow for a deck that wants to vial in lords and activate manlands? Should it be Mana Leak instead?

In the long term the prices should hold or even spike if people adhere to the same strategy you are suggesting.

I personally sold off my set of Ash Zealot once they hit 4.5 tix as I think that is her ceiling. I expect her to come down pretty soon. Chandra is starting to dip a bit but I think she still has potential for higher growth once Born of the Gods is released as that set may throw midrange strategies a bone and she could find a home in multiple decklists beyond the two she sees play in now (Gruul and mono red).

I almost let go of my Exavas at 2 tix but wanted to hold them a little longer to see if they'd go higher. Someone went on a shopping spree and picked up a ton so I thought she could have gone up to almost 3 tix but she peetered out at around 1.5. I think she also has the potential to grow after the second set is released.
