Something cool? Uhhh, as I'm typing this I should be working on my Masters thesis on Submerged Arc Welding with Three Electrodes. That's pretty cool, but boring at this point since I hate writing reports.

Are you a Welder or is it like science or something?

I'm a Welding Engineer. So I don't often do welding myself (though sometimes). More often I'm pushing buttons and getting a machine to weld for me, then I analyze the quality of the weld.

And I only weld without a mask when it's submerged. There's more than just your eyes to worry about. I've gotten some pretty nice arc burn after welding for long periods.

Yeah, it's pretty fun stuff. Welding is cool, and very interesting from a scientific perspective. Arc physics is crazy stuff.
