So hows your team madding. What do you have as your currant six

Right now my team is half finished and half random mon with HM's, but I want this playthrough to have Greninja, Charizard, Heliolisk, Aegislash, Skarmory and one other, maybe Avalugg or another Dragon.

I also like Magnezone but adding an electric steel to my team full of electric and steel is a bit redundant, although I am not opposed to acting like a wandering gym leader via a type theme

Has heliolisk been good for you? He wasnt really for me.

I like his speed.

I haven't played in so long that I'm just going for things I like visually

If he doesn't pan out I will try unidentified flying object Magnezone instead, but so far I like Heliolisk for a preemptive strike

But I seriously need to play more, this week has been hectic for me

after 3 or so hours of breeding last night, the last batch of eggs on the train this morning harbored 3 perfect speed boost venipede welcome to hell population your ass with an aggressive horny bug charging at you at increasingly fast speeds.

i can't tell whether i want my next mon to be rotom, protean frog, or infiltrator zubat.
the zubat involves breeding with swanna so i mean

also super training isn't half as bad as most people make it out to be if you take it slow.

madding beat the game and allow me to find out if your last safari mon is ditto because if it isn't i can move on with my life
Posted: Thu Oct 31, 2013 8:29 pm

I like super training, I just wish I investigated it when I started as now I want reset bags and can't get any

if you're playing storyline without putting together a real team for fighting Professionals, there's literally 0 reason to EV train.

the game is 100% brute force the whole way through with only short moments of thinking dedicated to type matchup consideration and/or what attack will not kill the pokemon you're fighting if you want to catch it.

false swipe is one of the first tms you get, though, so even that's not even remotely an issue.

trying to explain pokemon to a guy who hasn't played the game with any of the new mechanics or who knows what words mean is a very difficult and frustrating conversation.

Yes but I still enjoy figuring out a games system, grinding, min/maxing, etc, regardless of how much overkill it is for a story playthrough.

my pokemon were consistently 10-20 levels higher than everything i encountered over the course of the game given that most of the new pokemon don't have EVs listed to them yet.

the person in question didn't understand what "stats" were or how a form of a thing that changes forms would differ in regards to its ability to attack/defend.
describing aegislash to this person in question was a 10 minute conversation loaded with interruption and explanations when i kept saying "it attacks good in one form and takes damage good in another and can change
forms in the middle of combat"

the person in question loves final fantasy and fighting games so why the dialog was so hard when such mechanics are in both styles of game was very confusing.

meanwhile i explained the breeding mechanics in X and Y to a bartender at buffalo wild wings in under 5 minutes and the guy was pretty on the ball, but i also think he was a fan of pokemon and had a relative who was very into the games or at least video gaming.

Aegislash isn't a hard concept for me though

Oh I thought you were talking about me
i don't think i would need to explain that different forms does not mean that aegislash stabs or cuts vertically or cuts horizontally and that's what i mean by different forms.

or that when you use a special attack the damage you deal is partially determined by the special defense, not the defense or "what your attack is with the fireball"

i've yet to meet any cool people doing wondertrade. i keep sending out dittos and getting like... quagsire.

don't get me wrong i'm a man who loves quagsire, but these are your run of the mill swamplands quagsire and not even the cool friend safari variety with hidden abilities or perfect IVs
