Can someone else unvote Wraith please? He isn't worth lynching. I detest the idea of killing Town for policy reasons. We'll benefit from having time to look back through what has happened so far, and if we still have nothing in a few days then we can reconsider all options. But I have come to believe that Wraith is Town and that we shouldn't lynch him.
No need to unvote. After his self vote I intend to hammer on Monday morningish after I reread. If anyone hammers before then, they should be lynched with great prejudice.

Red:

I sometimes forget that you're European, since you speak write more skillfully than many Americans.

I'm going to do a read-through of the infrequent posters (Void, Witchhunt) and see if anything sticks out. Did you notice anything remarkable from their posts?
I'll answer tomorrow morning, I need some sleep now.

Am I seriously the only one that lols at a drawn out claim to be told they are a role blocker?
Yes?

I think this is the first time Wraith has had to claim in a game of Mafia, and he's stated multiple times that he didn't look things up in the Wiki until recently. He's a unique case since he marches to the beat of his own drum in this game. That doesn't automatically make him scum.

You seem like you don't care about unique circumstances and just want to get in a quick lynch. Why?
I don't care for meta.

Quick? Are we playing the same 280+ post day one
game?
Wraith, you have got to be kidding me with more flavor-gaming. If you mention flavor-gaming one more time toDay, I will vote you as a policy lynch. You aren't helping us with this shit. Understand?
what do you think of the many non-flavor related things he said in that post? Or are you just going to tunnel the flavor stuff?

anybody else see a possible Captain-Imopen-X scum team developing?
Straws are being grasped.
I'm tempted to vote Wraith right now because I don't believe town would
stick around at L-1 for 3 and a half hours without being hammered.

That said, in my mind I've linked imopen on 2 potential scum teams - with Wraith and/or with Captain Murphy.

vote: imopen2
Wait

So you do think he is scum? And not only that, you would rather jump on a new wagon than actually help the only moving wagon? What?
unvote, vote Wraith223 maybe the path Inflateablepie will fuck all you over as some you deserve loosing this game for being such morons and jerks to players that think outside the box.

If I turn out right about some of the flavor part; I will ram this down your throat.

Captain Murphy, you still have yet to post any analysis worth a damn to town.
Yo, you know we are playing a game right? Not only that
mafia is a TEAM game, no reason to take the ball and walk off.

I don't feel the need to spew too much yet. I already feel I know a few people are town, I have some other scumspects but that can all be done the next day after you are lynched.

RedNihilist - Hey, that's me!

Wraith223 - He starts with a big OMGUS, messes up his claim, goes on with massive flavorgaming, then ends up voting for himself.
I wouldn't have started putting pressure on him just because he's him (meta call) and, well, Day 1's pretty much derailed with his wagon.
I'm really hesitant at calling him scum because I'm a good guy and I really love everyone like the fluffy carebear I am, yet he has messed up quite violently so far and even his last "vote myself" thing can be read as a way to cut Day 1 short before we gain any more information.
On the other hand, I feel like that games that go like "let's lynch him because otherwise we'll end up lynching him tomorrow anyways" are doomed to fail.

hamfactorial - He's putting in some effort, where I feel like most scum players would just let Day 1 slip astray on Wraith's wagon*.
Also calls me a "skillful
writer speaker" (or speaker writer?) so I can't unlove him now.

zemanjaski - he started this Wraith mess but I don't see him really expecting it to get this far: he's also took the foot off the gas, but that could also just be a way to put some distance between him and a mislynch he purposefully caused.
Either way, this time he's probably reaching Day 2. Let's see if somebody daykills him then.

DroppinSuga - He started with very likable posts, then started laying low. I've got mixed feelings about this, but he's still leaning town.

Void - I really, and I mean really, really, REALLY can't get a hang of the way he plays.
Yet, he's a better player than me, so I'm the one that needs to adapt.
Also, after reviewing his posts, the only thing I can blame him for is not answering to my questions about this post like I wanted him to, but that's really nothing worth a read.
tl;dr: hates Wraith
and loves Iso.

Captain Murphy - His posts are really fun in a good way.
I've got nothing to say about him - he's fed up with Wraith yet he's actively committing on the lynch, so I'm not labeling him as scum for pushing the wagon.
OR he could be trying to push scumWraith down the cliff while keeping town off informations, but that line of play sounds very forced to me.

WitchHunt - He seriously needs to post something.
I've just found two posts during RVS stage, a soft lean un Suga, a soft lean on Z, and the rest is discussion on Wraith.
IGMEOY.

Iso - rezombad - imopen2 - TubeHunter - rcwraspy will be checked later, I'm going to buy something if I want to have breakfast today.

* I'm under the assumption that trying to save Wraith from a lynch would strictly be disadvantageous for scum here, regardless of his real alignment.

Hi zem, how are you?

Posted: Sat Jan 11, 2014 9:35 am
by RedNihilist
Iso - starts questioning Z pressure on Wraith, then forgets about it and just hates Wraith.

rezombad - reports this post and that's good.
Follows an early Z lead, then the Wraith trainwreck happens.
I'm waiting for his reread.

rcwraspy - Puts Wraith at L-1 for no specific reason, calls on Captain Murphy for his aggressive start, then this.
He may be onto something now, let's see what he comes up with.

TubeHunter - Layin' so low...

imopen2 - *ding ding ding*
I'm not saying anything on him before raspy's case, but I want other people to feel free to express their opinion on him.

Summaries =/= analysis.

Don't fence sit.
That seems a nice game you're playing there.
Let me see if I manage to do something like that.

summaries != analysis
- yet -
analysis -> content AND summaries -> content

your post != content

Now, I feel like you can do better than just lurk around nad brush away others' post that actually try to generate some content.
I don't even recall EVER saying I was going to use the term "analysis", so please explain your point rather than just being an abrasive mudslinger.

That way you got all defensive to a low level barb was very interesting. Couple that with your apprehensive style of responses earlier (commented on by myself, Tube and at least 1 other) and your unwillingness to actually point the finger at someone - now latching on to my posts as an avenue to generate more posts with (again!) actually being confrontational - you really look like you're just trying to coast through Day 1 by hiding in the open.

Start pointing fingers.

Why don't you care for meta? Do you not think it can tell you about someone? I'm not voting Wraith almost entirely based on meta.

The last game I played, day 1 lasted something like 19 pages. So yes, I think this is quick.
Wraith, you have got to be kidding me with more flavor-gaming. If you mention flavor-gaming one more time toDay, I will vote you as a policy lynch. You aren't helping us with this shit. Understand?

Straws are being grasped.
Nice deflection. I don't think straws are being grasped at all. So far I'm seeing you come in on a wagon to put Wraith at L-2 without any real analysis of why. Imopen "wanted" to hammer but didn't, and I see that as scum not wanting to be the hammer but still wanting to appear to like the wagon everybody else is on. Or not wanting to hammer a scum buddy. So I have scum reads on you, imopen, and Wraith, with imopen potentially being linked with either you or Wraith. Which leads to the next bit you quoted.

I think Wraith could be scum, primarily because I don't think town survives being at L-1 for 3.5 hours unless scum is already on the wagon. But imopen2 is a stronger scum read to me right now. I had inklings of it earlier, voted him, and he came out with a decent response so I unvoted him. Then I took a look at Wraith's wagon, and I think imopen is scum again.

So I can surmise that policy voting is any one person that deviates from the group with a significant clique that targets one guy.

Iamopen2, I will play as I see fit. Go to hell...oh wait...you are Erebos :D

If I gave up and said sorry guys; I won't play like this anymore. You would become suspicious, and I look more scum according to the clique.

So I can guess that everyone thinks I am scum no matter what I say? Thus go ahead vote me, I got better things to do. Will wait for the next game.

unvote, vote Wraith223 maybe the path Inflateablepie will fuck all you over as some you deserve loosing this game for being such morons and jerks to players that

Can we lynch this clown now.

Therolepmmixup: Those are good points raspy, but basing something on how the Mafia wiki says it fails in two aspects.
1. Wraith has said he doesn't read the wiki.
2. Thinking what Stardust put in his Role PM is the biggest baseless conjecture the world has ever seen.

I rest my case.

Later today, (barring some Irl catastrophe), im going to read the game on a whole.

The last game I played, day 1
lasted something like 19 pages. So yes, I think this is quick.
I always have, and always will disregard meta. Its easy to change how you play. I've done it multiple times just for fun.

Every game is different but I definitely wouldn't call this day 1 short. The wagon wasn't quick either.
Not really a deflection, considering there is no real response to someone claiming that you are scum buds with someone. The reason its grasping at
straws is that based off one wagon (with MULTIPLE people joining in) and a few small posts I've made I'm now somehow linked with imopen. Yeah, I get the whole "didn't want to hammer" thing but how am I the one linked and nobody else?

The reason I played like that is because no scum player is dumb enough to go against the grain and be so aggressive with their first post in the game. I'm town and part of a large team so if I end up dead I couldn't care less, my posts have punch and really say what I think for later analysis. tl;dr I'm not a great card analyst.
So I can surmise that policy voting is any one person that deviates from the group with a significant clique that
targets one guy.

Iamopen2, I will play as I see fit. Go to hell...oh wait...you are Erebos :D
