Not to mention how hard it is to get a car through a door in a school or quietly in someones house that is getting robbed

See my point? Its not all about how many people are being killed its about how they are being killed. People die in cars because we have to drive cars to get places. Sometimes the weather makes it slippery, sometimes people are wrong and drink drive and sometimes people drive too fast.

Its not the same as someone owning an unnecessary weapon and then using it to take someones life. Car crashes are human error, shootings aren't an error but a violent choice.

Removing guns removes violence, removing cars would removed death from error and accidents.

Cars kill 40,000 People a year in U.S.A.

Guns killed 8,583 People in 2011.

Clearly Cars are far more dangerous then Guns and Cars should be banned.

But regardless as proven in D.C. Gun Laws simply don't work and it's naive to think so. (D.C. has a Fire- arms murders rate of 12.46)
that is an unfair comparison because cars are not designed to kill living things like guns are.
please don't say that rifles are designed to kill deer, because they are just as capable of killing humans.

Murder rates spiked in Chicago as well, but in 2008 were lower than when that handgun ban became effective. Japan has very very strict gun laws and they have iirc 4 homicides per year. Now to compare that to the US, they would have 12 homicides per year.

We have strict gun laws here too, and we own more guns than the US and have less of a death rate. Why? The laws are so strict and expensive only farmers in the middle of nowhere own guns to shoot their cattle with.

Seriously I've seen 2 civilians my entire life with a handgun, one was me. I've seen shitloads of old rifles though, again, we love our agricultural side!

That was actually a joke. Just not a funny joke, I guess.

This humor thing continues to elude me. Fortunately, it also eludes Pendulum, who (I think) gets most of my jokes.

Holy shit, is it? I've been going about this the wrong way then:

@Sene: Reductio ad absurdam
@Gals: appeal to emotion, appeal to greater power, appeal to emotion
@Scumbag: Argumentum verbosum
@Bibi: appeal to law, appeal to law, argumentum ad silencium (freelz?)
@Baguy: argumentum holy shit calm downium
@Jones, Thrillho: appeal to worse problems, appeal to privilege
@Kaitscralt: deflection
@King Spam: Your reasoning is flawless :thumbsup:
@checkbox: deflection, argument from historical principle
@Yanni: argumentum ad absurdam
@Captain: appeal to emotion

Oh pendi, thinking I'm some emotional 14 year old girl on that time of the month

Showing people the emotional side of things makes them think more and be less robotic with numbers and stats.

The reality is that if someone close to me was brutally shot and someone said "Well cars kill more people" I would beat the shit out of them for even thinking it
