yeah but it's not enough to actually make the deck any better. not better enough to beat Stormbreath and Elspeth.

I like giant better and would rather have another Heroic enabler/removal spell than clog my five slot

Starbreaker admittedly isn't great but I felt like trying him

Unbelievable championship, we had Jund, Junk, RDW and hexproof (which beat Esper in finals no less) tied in first place with only one Bx Devotion and UW Control deck.

I'm doing another limited q tonight at 630.

Also brewing a RB control list for modern. Probably has no legs but I just can't stand to play good decks in constructed

Opened a pool with countless battles and bident but not enough cards to pair the two. Ended up UG and lost round 1 to a guy who drew his polukranos all three games

so it is g3 round 2, my opp is at 5, I'm at 12. I have a 2/1, a 2/3, a 3/3, and a 3/2. he has a 4/3 first strike. I attack all in and he plays....the green intervention x_x, takes 3 blows out my board, attacks back for 10 and plays the surge he topdecked for lethal (my 3/2 was unblockable so he was still dead without the topdeck)

I brewed up a RW boom/bust modern deck last night and won my first two 1v1s handily against storm and soul sister. I plan to jam a few 8 mans tonight and if the results are good I'll probably play it at the GP for fun.

I'm still trolling fools with my brew, clawing back a positive win rate and repairing the damage I did to my rating when I left Standard.

I was at 1740 yesterday morning before I finished the 8 man, probable dropped a bit since I lost in round 2. Downtime started too early this morning to play before work

It is a combination of ESO, a new set that we won't see on MODO for a few more weeks, and cards that I can't afford so I can sync up my MODO and paper decks. Stuck solo testing on Cockatrice.

I know what you mean. When I was brewing last night I had to sell a lot of stuff just to buy the cards. My terrible streak the last 2 weeks, and the learning curve or modern have not made for a happy bank account

Yeah. What is worse is that most of it is cards that I won't use past a few months (Rev, Elspeth, Jace, etc).

Well I was playing bogels to mixed results, but I've brewed a couple interesting lists this week. One is BR tempo and the other is RW boom/bust fun. I'm going to play a couple 8 mans with the boom/bust deck to see if it has legs and then I'll prob build the BR.

The secret to playing Bogles is always draw the Spirit Mantle on time every time (as shown in round 4 of my last daily stream)

.....They ninja changed the payout for queued events which effectively dropped the price on THS (AGAIN!!) and slightly raised BNG.

Thus making inf. grinding more difficult (again...) since I can no longer afford to sell BNG until JOU gets released since BNG should now rise in price (though the timing to sell these will be tough), on the same token I can't sell THS either which means I just have run on my current bank for 15 days or sell boosters and lose profits in the long run.

For 5-3-2-2 (aka 8-Mans or SE):
• 1st: 3 Theros, 2 Born of the Gods boosters, and 2 QPs
• 2nd: 2 Theros, 1 Born of the Gods booster, and 1 QP
• 3rd-4th: 1 Theros and 1 Born of the Gods booster

It was all BNG for the last two weeks (which is why BNG dropped in price) they gave us advance warning for that at least.....

Yeah I sold my theroses for playing purposes only for 3,3 in JaBoosters, was too greedy to unload all ... shit.

3.3 is a good deal, THS sell for under 3 right now.... I'm sure they'll still go up but man I'm sitting on 169 THS boosters (yeah I won some extra with my 3-0) so I hope the payout will be 3/3/3 once JOU comes in - the main factor which will effect price are the 5-3-2-2 though if the payout is 2/1/1 THS won't raise as much as I'll like (but BNG will rise).

8 mans should be 5 journey for first 2 weeks.

EDIT: I quit playing Standard magic during the twlight block because I hate creature only formats (I may do the same once
rotation happens, unless M15 is crammed full of removal/burn) so I don't have those cards.

Sadly I wasn't playing standard during the twilight set, I think I was playing either pauper or modern at the time (most likely pauper).

My mom decided to randomly visit for a week with my little brother and stay with my wife and I. That destroyed my play time, lol. For May I have a paper tournament pretty much every weekend. There's prerelease this friday (woohoo!), GPT the weekend after, PTQ weekend after that, and then at the end of the month is GP Atl. All sealed all the time for me next month =D. Excited, because full block sealed is my favorite.
