As an outside observer, I get really tired of seeing it brought up, when even in MTGO Daily's it has put up basically zilch results since Pre-Av Restored Standard. I guess that's my fault for choosing to observe, but there's not fuck all else to do around here.
Well how many strong players are playing it on MTGO? The same thing was said about Walter White, but then Z & MDU started winning dailies with it. Two players proved it was a good deck, then people started taking it to SCG events and winning.
Zem is now responsible for White Weenie? Lol, okay.

Walter White is a nickname for the Young Pryo splashing white for Chained to the Rocks deck. Very different.

the point is that ya'll credit yourselves to a comical degree for decks that even a cursory glance at Daily reports show are not the master work of one person. i go over every daily posted, mostly because the sideboard tech is helpful as the meta shifts weekly. there is rarely a long-term successful deck that can be attributed to one person on mtgo. last time it happened was, i think, the breakout of junk aristocrats after dgm.

everyone has been trying every version of RW since Theros day 1 and they all keep working to varying degrees

Trying to make a name for yourself because of the deck you made instead of the tournament you won is just lazy unless your brew is actually new. Like, Omnidoor new.

Now if Zem's artifact deck became a household (basementhold?) name, I believe some credit would be in order.

Work after a holiday? You bet.

You can always tell how bored I am at work based on how hard I'm coming down on FoS.

I have a real question for you bums, why do you force BR aggro every season? It hasn't been a good deck since zombies and I am sure you didn't play that version back then because you couldn't call it a unique but bad deck name. This has been bothering me for a while. UW Control has always been my favorite color combination but I don't play it when it's not working.
Played it early into Theros before mono black devotion caught on. Was fun, if not a little mindless. Mogis's Marauder is super super super shitty now but a few months ago it was a card that could win you the game on curve.

When that card is good, it's damned good.

And when 1/3+ of the meta is mono black, it's real not.

It will either be the best or worst card in your deck, even in Limited.

I did enjoy that deck, though, and I usually hate the aggro brews.

Implying that anything out of Kait's mouth is legitimate conversation.

Kait, this clan isn't about brewing decks and boasting about any little success. It's a group of people with similar interests who found each other on the internet, respect each other, encourage each others' ideas while remaining critical when necessary, and celebrate success because we're genuinely happy for each other.

It sounds like these are alien concepts for you. I feel sorry for you.

Don't let K8 bother you. He's just an angry dude who's bored. Just do what I do when his posts become too tedious: look at the avatar for a few seconds and scroll down.

Really, the only thing that bothers me about K8's posts anymore is zem's attempts to emulate them.

So question. Playing pathfinder (with 3.5 cosmology) with my true neutral fighter, and we're chasing down this warrior dude who's sword makes magical green flames that burn down anything (even rock), and we know it has something to do with mephistopholes and asmodeus (which means very little to my character as his only knowledge skill is geography {horizon walker prereq}). We finally catch up to the guy and we find he wants rid of it because it's cursed, but someone else has to purposefully pick it up for him to get rid of it. So my character knows the sword is cursed by some kind of bad minor gods or something, it's absurdly powerful, the part of the ground the warrior stuck it in is now a small patch of lava, and there is a non-zero chance that picking it up could kill me. The session ends after we get all that info. The question is do I pick it up? If not, what should I do.

Pick it up. Because you'll always wonder what would've happened otherwise.

Why bother reading through multiple posts of dross and butthurt when you can just hide a user's posts? :D best feature ever.

I not only can take it but openly invite it!

I'm part of a tight-knit online group too, going on 9 years since I met them, we just aren't all constantly needing man shoulders to cry on, and talk about Pokemon instead of patting each other's backs.

Even if I could get you banned I probably wouldn't think to try. Don't think I've done anything but chuckle or roll my eyes at most of your posts, so as far as i'm concerned you're fine to have around.
