I hate to be a pessimist, or to say something that might sound offensive, but there is a staggering number of people in the world who are capable of making up claims that they have been sexually assaulted, for all kinds of reasons. While some of these individuals almost certainly have experienced this kind of terrible tragedy, I think that it would be naive to assume that everyone on the internet who claims to have been a victim actually is.

Rapists coming under locked doors or otherwise mysteriously appearing out of thin air in secure rooms, or coming in through air ducting only a few inches in diameter, or having acrobatic skills that would make a ninja look awkward by comparison, or spending obscene amounts of time and money in their quest to force their alleged victim into a situation where they were vulnerable. Stuff like that. Then there's the flip side, the alleged victim doing something out of character/impossible like "I drove
three hundred miles, got into a bar even though I'm only 14, got raped in the bathroom, then drove home, all under two hours."
