Oh, man. My favorite video game of all-time along with my favorite music of all-time now in one giant electric guitar medley! The feels!

Megaman X is the shit. I wish Capcom would bring back the Megaman IP and spring it into Next Gen instead of making it a DLC console game.

I've been listening to/playing nothing but metal reworkings of video game soundtracks this week.

I have a hard time liking anything they did after Megaman X4. That game was....absolutely amazing, and if the music could compare to X1, it'd be the superior game. 5 and 6 were just bullshit - the story was sub-par, and the gameplay was extremely difficult, unless you cheated and started the game with X's Ultimate Armor from X4. I barely beat 5, and I can't even remember if I beat 6 (without the Armor cheats). If I did, I was probably just as disappointed with the ending as I was for X5. Someone said that they made an X7, but I never played it.
All I know is that if I was ever stranded on an island with
one game and one console, it'd be a PS2 with the Megaman X Collection (1-6).

Possibly my favorite non-Megaman music. I heard a band do a solid, amazing cover of it but I can't remember who it was, therefore I can't find it. But here's the original:

Ham - I forgot to ask how the rest of the stream went yesterday? When I left, you were 3-0, if I remember correctly.
By the way, the deck was very interesting. I really liked the inclusion of
Tidehollow Sculler.

I went 3-1, losing to a UWR Control deck in 2 games round 4. Not a great matchup, the counterspells were too hard to get through and I was bricking for several turns.

What's the best way to play FFVI?
I'd like to know as well, everyone says it's a fantastic game but I've only played FF7 and onward.
There's so many ways now, it seems.

Are you guys asking for what team to use or for what console to play it on?

I'm asking just, any way. What's the best? They have it for GBA and Android and like four other ways not including emulators now and I'm overwhelmed.
For info I have A backwards-compatible PS2, a Galaxy S3, a DS Lite(with the GBA cartridge port) and a twoish-year-old laptop at my disposal.
I have to admit the phone option looks unappealing. My phone dies halfway through the day as it is.

Don't play it on your phone.
You're going to want to get comfortable, whatever you decide to play it on, so consider that. I'd go with the PS2 or the DS, depending on whether you are more into console or handheld gaming. My personal preference would be for the PS2 in my recliner.

Ah, okay.
Well, looking at prices, a copy of VI on PS(in the form of FF Anthology) is around 20USD where as a copy of the GBA version is...110. x.x That's a deciding factor, I do believe.
I'm going to need to pick up a PS1 memory card to save this, aren't I?

Thank God they're not of exorbitant price.
Makes me sad that most PS1 things are. You can't even get a used copy of most decent PS games without shelling out at least 50 dollars.

I guess the whole PSN greatest hits thing solves that, but I haven't any late-gen consoles at my disposal aside from my nephew's 360.

If you're really, really, really particular, emulate the GBA version. Purists will tell you it has the best translation to English. I've never played the GBA version though so I couldn't tell you from experience how true that is. And if I had I'm not the kind of person who'd care anyway.

We're just starting. It's actually the first time that my LGS is able to stay open on Sunday, and they're trying to get people into the format for Sunday legacy tournaments with a free, full proxy event.

Bummed. Friend of mine went undefeated day one in Vancouver, 0-4 today.
Well, that's what happens when you play Green devotion I guess
Still in top 32 cause it's only a 1000 player GP.

Not sure if you missed that I said that or you're picking on my syntax.
Anyway, thanks for the help.

Lost to Elves due to terrible hands. I know I shouldn't blame variance, but I just never saw a red source of a necessary mull to 6 game 2 even when I dropped a turn 1 top.

ouch, that sucks freedom. I wouldn't think elves is too great a matchup anyways though

I did miss that. Sorry. Was meant as an agreement with your sentiment.

I beat him round 2 because of ensnaring bridges and a grafdiggers cage, but the games in top 4 just felt like I didn't have many plays to make.

I was in first place by a few points going into top 4 when I didn't even expect to win more than two rounds, so I'll count it as a partial victory.

so you kept on 6 with no red source and a top? hmm
What was your hand?

Actually, post it in your painter thread and we can discuss it there

Top, grindstone, recruiter, bridge and some other shit. I figured that a turn 1 top could help me find a red source, but it couldn't. Seven was 4 land, 2 Painter and a top, and I didn't want to keep a hand without the combo or disruption.

good mulligan, fine keep in my opinion. Just got some bad beats.
congrats on the top 4 though. Your improving at legacy, i can tell when we play.

It is! But to be fair, Syncopate was printed in Odyssey then reprinted in RTR. Giant Growth was printed in Alpha, and reprinted in nearly
every goddamn core set since then.
